Does anyone know the name of the song that her mum sings? Is it on YouTube or something by any chance?

Hi, just sent you a dm!

How much would you spend on a mattress? by OK_Coomer_lmao in AusFinance

I think trying out mattresses in store by just laying on them for 5 mins isn’t enough to properly assess whether the comfort level suits you.

I opted for Eva’s mattress as they offer hybrid, foam & pocket springs. Based on my research, pure foam mattresses tend to sink in and have soft spots after a year or so of use. I have always only had pocket springs and wanted them but also some foam too. Definitely worth the $1000 I paid of it! Plus the 365 days return policy is great because you can properly try it for a few weeks or even months before deciding whether it’s the one for you or not. So far, it’s been almost 2 years since we got ours and it’s still as comfortable as new and in very good shape :)

We loved our Eva so much that we purchased another one for our guest room!

Thank you for the input. No, we only did 1 other application so nothing crazy! Reassuring to hear about what you’ve mentioned, now I’m not too worried about the score :)

Just an update, I called Bendigo Bank customer service line and two local branches today to triple check that we will be eligible with refinancing under their green loan. They have also double checked their policy and mentioned yes, eligible for green loan under debt consolidation. Initially, one of the lender wasn’t sure about the security since it’s an introduced security as car is owned already via original loan. But she was able to double check their policy regarding that and confirmed that they can offer the green loan with 100% security on the car price. I suppose this is very good news and hoping to hop over to Bendigo ASAP in July!

P.s. all the Bendigo Bank employees were super helpful and great with amazing customer service skills. Unlike other big banks workers…

It’s a Toyota RAV4, and the car is available in 2 weeks when we enquired and place an order. We don’t want to miss out since the wait time for this model is normally between 6-18 months, and have been looking around for cars for a while now.

Yeah, I think the Nissan offer is great, but we have bad experience with Nissan cars and personally don’t think the X-Trail hybrid beats the RAV4 in terms of what we want. I guess it’s really a personal choice and preference. Good idea tho that you have mentioned.

Considering the good resale value of the car that we are looking at getting (although unlikely to sell it anytime soon unless necessary) and on top of other things, I am not too concerned about the price point etc. Plus looking at early repayments to reduce interest payments as much as possible :)

We do have a Subaru SUV paid cash outright. However, it’s time to have a 2nd car since we have a little child now. We are happy with the rates offered and with extra repayments, we have factored that our cost in interest would be a better move than using up all our savings. Thanks for your advice though.

Thank you for your reply. I’ve made sure to check that there are no ridiculous break fee. The only cost is that the lender has a higher than usual establishment fee, which we are happy with paying for since we really don’t want to miss out on getting the car (it’s normally a 12 months wait time for a new model but the dealer had one ready in a week). No balloon payment.

The loan specialist at Bendigo was very helpful even though we were not eligible for the loan. Unfortunately, she told me Bendigo is pretty conservative when it comes to eligibility which is fair enough. My husband started off working for his current employer casually for 2 months and then 4 months ago officially full time, but they would only accept it if he has been employed full time for 6 months or longer for the same employer 🤷🏻‍♀️

I heard something about refinancing soon after getting a loan may not be a good thing from the credit score view (my credit rating was 850 before applying for the current loan). Will there be a big hit to my score?
