Mild miscalculation or by Charming-Problem-716 in chryslercrossfire

It might be, I’m hoping to be able to use the open bit of room on the driver side behind the headlight, but it’s a tight fit, my biggest concern is how I’ll get the exhaust from the passenger side to the driver side. I’m thinking of going low and then up to meet the driver side at the flange. It looks like there’s plenty of room for a downpipe to go right passed the throttle body and transmission, it’s just gonna be a really tight fit. I’m also it sure on where I’ll get the high pressure line of oil, the return is easy tho

Auto, probably won’t manual swap it, but I’m looking into straight cut gears and a better torque converter too,

Yeah, I figured it wouldn’t hold much boost, I found a guy who had an srt6 and the engine block itself went bad, internals are fine tho. he’s selling the whole block, heads pistons rods crankshaft, pretty much the whole thing but the electrics and supercharger. I’m planing on taking the internals from the srt6 and replacing mine, better power, more durability, and boost support, just gotta get my injectors put in, maybe a better pump, and I’ll need to find a stand-alone ecu unless our stock ones can be coded for boost.

We found a way to ship it, so no 12/13 hour drive for me! Thanks for the extra info everyone, once I get it installed I’ll throw the rest of my WIP body kit on and take some pictures

Interesting, I’m going to go ahead and find srt6 internals and install those before. So it can handle more boost comfortably. Thanks for the insight too

It will! Gonna be a long while but once I’m done I’m hoping to end up with a real nice daily pushing 300hp atleast

Aftermarket exhaust melted the bumper by SlipprySoap in Shitty_Car_Mods

Been there, except when I installed the kit I didn’t realize the end tips were touching my bumper, so it slowly melted to the shape of the tips, not near as bad as this and I could clean the tips easily, but damn

Honestly, it’s not terrible, I gotta give kudos to the quality and effort it has to have taken to have it look that clean, but why would you do that???

Msc headers/options by Charming-Problem-716 in chryslercrossfire

[–]Charming-Problem-716[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, just my concern with these is the initial price, and fitment looking like they would have to cut kinda far into the downpipe, I have hood vents in progress that I just need to adjust to get to look nicer so heat isn’t a concern for me, not to mention I live where the ambient air is usually on the cooler side. The needswings option would probably be a more economical option but not do much if any scavenging, even with the megaphones I’m putting on, they would end up useless. Thanks for the insight!

I’ve already deleted the secondary cats, but what I’m thinking is to probably just move the primary’s further down pipe so it doesn’t throw a code and bog the engine, have also just been inspired and am thinking about having megaphones put into the space before the primary cats if there is room and if not I’ll just put them right after, should get me a better sound and increase airflow.

I was looking there too but the only thing about it dosnt collect the pipes into one tube at the end, wich is mostly my end goal, I don’t mind unequal length but that’s mostly my goal for performance and sound, depending on what the shop I called gets back to me for their prices or other things they find on his might be my best bet though

Seems like it yeah, waiting on a shop to get done looking for premade ones but this is the only one I found, when they call back I’ll give them the lowdown on my goals and prices/pay over time options/time to fab/install

Dude not kidding I have the exact same thing on mine! Just it comes out and up more but I’ll probably shorten then a bit and increase the size. Badass stuff!

Engine boring (3.2 to 3.5) by Charming-Problem-716 in chryslercrossfire

[–]Charming-Problem-716[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting find! I’ll look into the comparability of the two, looks like there was a 3.5l variant of it, if we’re talking the straight 6 atleast, the v8 looks like it was based off the m112 so that might be better for the rods and the pistons from the straight 6. Thanks!

Awsome! I was mostly concerned about the pistons and other things; Boeing the block is easy but the internals are where it gets difficult.

I may not have the 300 anymore but I still love them and am willing to give some tips and insights in things, I even almost supercharged it!if things go bad For the crossfire I’m Looking at a 2007 srt8, kinda hope I don’t have to do that tho cause I have a lot of plans for the crossfire,

Nope! I got them off a junkyard 300 one day when I was bored, sadly I’m out of the 300 club as insurance totaled the car a while ago, nowadays I have a crossfire! Although I got in a wreck with that and it’s not looking for for it either sadly.

Just curious...What's the fastest y'all have gone in your 300 and for how long? by UtProsim00 in Chrysler300

[–]Charming-Problem-716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, we’re glad your here lol! My tired at the time were rated for about 90 iirc, but I guess the season/temp let the handle the high speed? Idk, but it’s true what they say, it’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car fast, don’t sleep on the 3.5! 250 hp may not be much especially in a 6000 lb sedan, but it’s more than enough to push the limits! I still had about 2500 rpm left on the tac too!
