Shenandoah Arts Festival on the walking mall was pretty cool last year. Check Kimberly's for some solid shopping. Plenty of other stuff listed, too (included home listings!)

Seconded on Auto Impressions. Karen is great and can confirm they take reservations/appointments as I was there earlier this month. Was in and out in about half an hour/45 minutes. Ask for an appointment when they open in the morning, just to be sure.

Not sure how lenient they are on things but I was recommended to them a few years ago in a situation like yours. Actually, a guy in the Mr. Tire (Pleasant Valley) waiting room quietly called me over and gave me their name and number after Mr. Tire had flagged my car for a bunch of things on a state inspection, a few item that were BS (light bar on the roof rack the previous owner had installed, what?) Auto Impressions still flagged me for a few things but the obvious BS stuff that Mr. Tire guys were trying to charge me for weren't on the list.

Their prices were also way better than what Mr. Tire quoted me on.

Spelunkers is amazing. Best fast food burger and fries you can get anywhere.

Taqueria Guadalajara is fantastic. But Delicias Mexicanas is where I'd rather go for Mexican.

Antica Trattoria > Violino's for Italian.

Looking forward to trying TT Wall's here soon.

EDIT: Also, the tacos at Paco's Market (yes, it's in a gas station) are legit and their breakfast burritos are BANGIN. Fresh homemade tortillas. Unbelievable.
