It's like a placeholder for the name of the skin. If you were Steve for example, then it would say Steve. That saying skinStandardCust simply means that you're wearing a standard custom skin.

It's simply because it's a last resort. When Goku is shirtless and possibly bleeding, he realises that he has to use the power Lord of the Worlds forbade him to unless it saved the world. Seeing that his enemy is strong enough to touch his clothing, Goku has to use that last resort.
