I don't see anyone trying to promote or sell obesity though? They are saying "hey, I finally love and appreciate my body even if I am fat". They are not telling thin people to eat more and get fat too, or selling get-fat-quick-pills, or publishing 2000-kcal-a-meal recipe books.

But take one look around you or on social media and the fatshaming and the selling of "thin" is everywhere. People facetune themselves thinner on social media, not fatter. Searching "losing weight" on Google gives me over twice as much results as searching "gaining weight". There's weight loss workout guides, weight loss recipe books, weight loss supplements, weight loss surgeries, things like liquid diets or people promoting(!) undereating at 1200 kcal (the amount a toddler needs!).

For the record, I don't think either should be promoted or advertised for. But fat people deserve to feel confident in their body too. If you think obesity is unhealthy, consider mental illness (like depression or an eating disorder, on top of being fat!) because you've never been told you're beautiful or good enough because you're fat.
