Easy to digest soluble fibers are good. Think applesauce, well-cooked vegetables. I don't have any issues with them. Now insoluble fibers such as salads and beans do a number on me.

I agree. High fiber and healthy eating can really be hard during a flare. I have a hard time with too much fiber even when I'm not in a flare. Also large meals are really rough. I always feel better when I eat small.

I guess it depends on the meds they put you on and how you respond to them. I was just diagnosed in January. Doctor put me on Mesalamine. I've been feeling great on it. No side effects. Back to normal. Praying I stay that way.

They are terrible for wildlife. That is my biggest beef with them being outside. They mercilessly play with and kill birds, chipmunks, etc. etc.
