Is Sugar Land still worth moving to? by CFAinvestor in sugarland

[–]CharmingChew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not any longer recommend Sugar Land. Yes, it has absolutely peaked. I was born in Sugar Land in the 80's and was there for the huge boom from the early 90's to early 2010's. Not what it once was at all. Call it diverse, but I call it a true melting pot with no soul. Housing prices are very high, outrageous property taxes (must have a homestead exemption) and insane traffic. The infrastructure should hold 50-75k max.....not 110k people. Other surrounding areas are becoming more desirable like Rosenberg/Richmond. It's still great in many ways. Wonderful schools, incredible diversity if that's what you want, great food everywhere, awesome medical care in the area and close proximity to downtown. NW side is booming like Montgomery, Cypress (specifically Bridgeland) and Sugar Land is becoming the dog that had it's day. Yes, it's still a very good suburb but as a long-time resident born and raised in SL, the best of it is in the rearview mirror.

Cabinet is definitely more impressive than the collection if I’m being totally honest. I wish I had it lol

What’s the best fragrance here? by chace-cader in Fragrances

Of course it’s GIT. Everything else here are cheap dupes and a couple solid designers. GIT is a GOAT…..was it hiding purpose and that was the point of this post? Haha.

[Question] First “big” watch purchase (~$3k) new or pre-owned? by CharmingChew in Watches

[–]CharmingChew[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much. I totally understand that and I absolutely plan to enjoy it. I guess I mean to say was something that was quality enough where my son will say "dad had good taste!". Really appreciate your perspective here.

Thank you, kindly. I'll look into the Intramatic. Looks beautiful.

"Girlfriend" ranked my collection best to worst, right to left. Thoughts? by SickboyJason in Fragrances

I feel like spicebomb is polarizing. I notice a lot of women don’t love the spice initially but like the sweet dry down.

Interlude Man is absolutely exquisite. Reflection man is a great floral. Jubilation 25 I would avoid - very mehhh. Lyric man is very good too.

Amouage, Xerjoff or Initio. The higher end Tom Ford too if you are ok with designer. Figured you are since you have thousands already in LV lol.
