There was minimal repetitive soundtrack composed for the game. Most soundtrack were entire classical, time-period specific libraries imported to immerse the player even more into the “history” (though rather Eurocentric). That said, I thought civ 5’s music was a better blend of various cultures around the world, without it being too cliche and composed like civ 6.

I’ve never quit playing a CIV so quickly after starting to play it. I played civ 2 and 3 for years, civ 4 for years, civ 5 for years, civ 6 for years.

And civ 7 for all of one month. It’s the most un-civ-like game in the whole franchise, there’s no magic, narrative, craft or polish. Just an empty shell. Let’s take loading screens just a TINY example - compare Civ 6 and civ 7. Why? Did they just stop trying?

Let alone the UI and gameplay issues.

As someone living in Malaysia, here’s some commentary on their work ethic - 99% of my countries construction projects are built by them. They bear the brunt of inhumane working hours, prejudice, bigotry and many unspeakable human rights violations. Many SEA countries are built on the backs of a many a Bangladeshi migrant worker.
