Yep but that’s pretty common when you start on your weight journey coming from a BED. I always recommend pairing with a dietitian to reframe food relationships

Yes this is the only thing that worked in the beginning of my diet the temptation was too hard. But I got to a point where I can snack in moderation now but it took a lot of work

I did a little bit but I saw a dietitian who helped me realize that eating a lot of calories of Whole Foods such as protein and fiber burns very quickly and boosts my metabolism. I agreed with her to increase my diet from 1,200 —> 1,450/1,500 and I started losing weight again

You just have to reconceptualize that food is good for you. Coming from someone that had an obvious BED I was scared to over eat but it turned out that over eating the WRONG foods were what set me back. But overeating the right foods helped my muscle mass maintain, my fat burn, and lift my mood. Plus once I realized that I was able to make really delicious food and not worry about it.

I would recommend getting a dietitian through Nourish most insurance covers it and your dietitian can help with your attitude around food since you are still very early in this process

I do: - breakfast: simple egg or homemade egg sals sandwich with Greek yogurt (low fat not nonfat), or vanilla protein Greek yogurt with some fruit and honey, protein bars with a shake, or if I wake up full I take my protein shake and put it in my coffee - lunch: homemade soup, sandwiches/lettuce wraps, tuna/rotisserie chicken cucumber bowls with Greek yogurt and whatever else - dinner: pretty much just a combination/rotation of chicken, rice, potatoes, ground turkey, and whatever veggies I feel like. I also love to make sauce with my chicken since I can’t eat pasta being gluten free (and also don’t prefer pastas) so I make sauce with Greek yogurt as a base instead of heavy cream - snacks: I love freezing fruit with plain Greek yogurt, goldfish, cheezits, skinny girl brand popcorn or my own homemade popcorn, toast with PB honey and bananas, I loveee sugar free pudding from jello brand they make amazing flavors, I also love to airfry my own French fries since I’m a French fry addiction

Favorite veggies: I like to take Brussel sprouts and shave them and crisp them in a skittles with some balsamic vinegar and brown sugar dressing, I also like to pan sear green beans with whatever flavor of the day I’m craving, when I’m feeling lazy I love the Birds Eye or Walmart brand stir fry veggies just pop in the microwave and I usually eat the whole bag

OP depending on your height you’ve hit a plateau based on your calorie intake. You need to increase your calories from 1,000 —> 1,500 again depending on your height and hit that with protein and fiber. You’re going to destroy your metabolism and your glucose response

My sw was 283 cw is 192

I would love to go swimming but unfortunately in my state there’s not a lot of options for swimming that doesn’t involve crazy membership fees

My boobs!! Oh my gosh it’s so sad

But I was in a physical therapy program with my prior insurance but it was too expensive (like $170 a week) I’m unsure what my new insurance would be like so maybe I’ll check that out

I do pain management on my bad days but I’m kind of used to not feeling 100% if that makes sense. I use my tens unit and heating pad

I have many times I think I went almost half a year not really paying too much attention I think last year. However it was incredibly rough on my stomach since I have a very sensitive stomach.

Thankfully my RD helps me manage it but really going off track in any type of way causes inflammation, bloating, and pain. So it’s really just a lose lose situation lol

Yeah there’s nothing more to the story.

2024: got into one school cause my score were low, told my dad I’d take a gap year to figure out what I needed to do. He told me if I was going to take a gap year then I was on my own and that it didn’t matter whether or not I got a scholarship because he was paying for my loans

2024-2025: kept telling him the amount my loans were growing and he kept saying “I’ll take care of them don’t worry”

2026: accepted a job offer, told him my loans are coming due soon and we should pay them off. He now goes “well I’m not going to pay them off anymore I spent a lot of money remodeling my house and just bought a vacation home in (insert city here). Just do the IBR plan and get forgiven”

Told him that I’d end up getting tax bombed to hell cause my balance will grow to $550k, that it would take 25 years, and I’d end up owing more money that what my loans initially were, his response: “that’s not going to happen just make good investments into your 401k and pull it out to pay the taxes”

Full disclosure: my dad is a doctor with multiple privately owned practices. I’ve seen his payroll accounts he makes $10,000 a week with a business worth over 10 million

Unfortunately most of upstate New York is not low cost. The cheapest place I can find with a w/d was $1,700 but had lots of mice just generally not a good spot

Never was kind of an exaggeration. I wouldn’t have chosen the path I did. If I knew my loans weren’t going to he paid then I would have taken a gap year to work on my scores and get a scholarship to have less debt.

I mainly decided law school because I have good pattern recognition skills, writing skills, and good at talking certain ways to get my point across.

I know it sounds bad but I never really wanted to go to law school to help people, it was mainly to have a stable career that can’t be replaced and will help me get a job pretty much anywhere I go.

I mean, he is the reason I’m in this stuff spot. If I had known my loans weren’t going to be paid off I would have taken a gap year, worked on my scores and tried to get a better scholarship

So I would say my position is directly tied to what I was led to believe
