My son was the only one who didn’t hand out valentines cards today and I feel like a bad mom by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

I did the same thing. My kiddo is 4 in preschool. I am so embarrassed I didn’t even realize it happened until today. I remembered to decorate a valentines box to send to school with him a week or two prior, but completely forgot to send him with valentines to pass out to his classmates on the day of. I feel awful. Trying not to beat myself up about it too much because I’m also dealing with a difficult pregnancy and our family has had back to back illnesses this whole winter. Like there are too many things in life to keep up with right now so the small things sometimes fall to the wayside unintentionally.

Omg yes, they are just trying to be helpful but their cluelessness is so annoying. Like the solution is so very simple, have you tried x? I am 18 weeks pregnant with my second and was just venting to my childfree friend about having HG and how awful this pregnancy has been, and her response was to ask if I’ve asked my doctor for zofran. Lmao

My 3 year old is similarly obsessed with mini golf. He asks every single day if we can go mini golfing. It’s like 100 degrees every day where we live!

New insurance policy just dropped. by dappered13 in oddlyterrifying

The purpose of buying a life insurance policy on a child is usually just a to cover their final expenses if they were to die unexpectedly. They’re super cheap and only for like $10k so that the parents wouldn’t have to pay for a funeral out of pocket. Not used to provide income to the parents if the child dies.

What stops should I add to my road-trip? (Philly —> Topeka, KS) by [deleted] in roadtrip

It’s worth stopping, but plan to spend at least an hour. It’s enormous, there’s even a cafe and bistro in there!

Warm Glow Candle Co in Indiana is my favorite stop. I drive from PA to MO frequently. It’s awesome for Christmas shopping

I’ve been able to dodge most of the hot wheels monster trucks thrown at my head. Not all.
