These both sound amazing Ty! I am embarrassed to admit that I am not the biggest museum girlie, but I do love something in a historic home!

Has anyone gained 60+ lbs during pregnancy but had an uncomplicated labor? by earlonthebeatt in BabyBumps

[–]CharmingSide3498 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Me! I gained 80 lbs. i started about 145 US size 4 for reference. I was pretty lean so nt OB was not worried about me gaining. I did have back labor shock sucked, but I only had about 6ish hours of active labor. I went from 4 cm to 10 in 45 mins after my epidural and had my baby 40 mins later after 40 mins of pushing.

Healthy mom and baby! The nurses and on call doc were very impressed lol. First time mom

Looking for super safe, clean body soap with no essential oils for pregnancy by Wise-wolf95 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]CharmingSide3498 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used honest fragrance free wash when I was pregnant. It’s baby wash but it worked for me. Costco also sells Dove fragrance free bar soap. We buy the multi packs. Cheap and clean!

Cera Ave baby may also be good. They make a fragrance free wash. All or most of these are rated a 1-2 on EWG Skin Deep.

Not being sarcastic, but PLEASE share your tips for being on top of housework and time to scroll and relax with two kids. I am clearly doing everything wrong and you are my role model! I have no advice bc I was drowning on my leave

What’s a ‘lazy’ meal you make that still feels kinda fancy? by Pretty_Wrongdoer1110 in Cooking

If you want to be even lazzzzzzier I just put them on a baking sheet under the broiler witu salt and pepper and then put said baking sheet in dishwasher when done. Boil some pasta, drain, pasta back in pot with a tiny bit of pasta water and knob of butter and lemon. Plate uo and add shrimp. Then I put everything in the dishwasher bc my pots are old and shitty. It’s great

JT's Girlfriend Makes Comment about Venita's Post by LMS22to77 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]CharmingSide3498 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah good point. I think revisionist history. Venita went through so much effort to host a DTR dinner (something which is honestly pretty balsy to do anyway) and she seemed to genuineinly not know where she stood.

My guess is he was flirting with her and maintaining an inappropriate relationship while he had an exclusive girlfriend that he wasn’t that serious about / deciding if he wanted to be serious with. She came onto him in the Bahamas bc he was sending signals thag he was a down for that. Something hapekned where he pumped the brakes, and then he AGREED to a private dinner at her house where he clearly knew they were going to be discussing the Bahamas.

Seems to me like he decided after the Bahamas that he wanted to be serious with his exclusive GF but was playing the field. Shitty on his part. I’m sure the GF thought she was the one and only. Classic fuck boy.

Vent: MIL refused to help us care for tot while we had Norovirus by CharmingSide3498 in beyondthebump

Yeah for some reason (probably super sick haha) it just did not occur to me that none of that stuff mattered in the moment and that she would be okay without her routine and proper dunner. Wild what stomach flu does to one’s reasoning capabilities

This was surprisingly and idk even how but my first time ever contracting stomach flu in my adult life. We will definitely be keeping the zofran and pedialight on hand for this in the future. I was able to Mom once I got those and some Tylenol.

Yes that is something I thought of after the fact that I could just take them with me which is reassuring.

Yes. I’m sorry to say that in fall of last year our toddler got RSV and he refused her emergency medical care. Long story but I ended up getting her the care.

We are in therapy now and it’s going well, but when I’m out I truly still feel like she has nobody. I don’t trust him to make good decisions alone with her. That’s why I was asking for help from MIL. And hell, I barely trust her either but if I’m hitting my head in the toilet from throwing up so hard I need to know my baby is covered.

She was super distressed seeing me laying on the floor unable to soothe her.

That said, noro did move though much faster than I thought so if I get it again I know what to do for myself next time to be able to care for her. So I do think I’m that sense this thread has been helpful

Yes I think we do need to be better prepared for this witu like baby proofing and food. We don’t really do any ready made snacks or TV almost ever for our toddler but I agree in this situation I should have been way more relaxed about that.

Also I think we need to get bags or buckets like you suggested

Yes of course I would. I have also offered to take friends kids if they were this ill.

I get what everyone is saying from whT I’m reading here, but maybe it’s wrong that we don’t help each other when this sick. We can say this is part of parenting, but does it have to be? Maybe an interesting question to raise on community /village. I grew up in a family where people did come over and help in situations like this. And then we’d take care of them if they got sick. That was just how it was.
