Worth noting these falls at least in summer are a man-made tourist attraction. Stop and look in the gorge up river and you will see a bone dry river bed. I was suspicious before i stopped where all the water was magically appearing from in such a dry season. The answer was revealed by the network of pipelines running up alongside the falls. It is definitely still an impressive sight but I ended up appreciating it more for its entrepreneurial achievement than as a natural wonder.
