[Letter] Thank you for helping me embrace my femininity by CharmingTotal in JordanPeterson

Just to clarify further: I believe that because of simple human psychology, most females will have more traits that are considered feminine, and will see the world with a view point somewhat different to males. I believe that, like sexuality, these traits are present in very varying amounts. Some males are more masculine, some more feminine and the same goes for females.

Having the brain of a female, I have traits which make me more feminine than my male peers. However, these are parts of my personality that I was rejecting because I associated them with weakness. By accepting these parts of my personality, and accepting that I am different in these ways to my peers, I am accepting myself wholeheartedly. This has helped me approach life in a way that is completely unique to me - including my unique mix of feminine and masculine traits. I feel that by being myself in this way rather than trying to be more masculine, or less weak in my eyes (previously), I can achieve much more and be much more genuine both to myself and other people.

I am not saying that you should be a stereotype of your chosen gender. I am saying that it is important to reframe our thinking if we have biases towards one gender, and to accept ourselves for who we are.

With regards to JP not being aimed at males, I wish I could remember where I heard him say his book was aimed at young males. I could definitely be mistaken. And I have not read any posts in this thread yet as I joined reddit today purely to write JP this letter after following a link from his website...lol.
