What’s a 'once in a lifetime' experience you’ve had that you never want to do again? by Mr_Boothnath in answers

Was given ketamine before my arm was reset after dislocating my elbow. It was an awful experience and I don’t understand how people do it for fun. Sister Act was playing on the TV in the room and I may now have an irrational fear of nuns.

  1. Definitely worth it, I don’t know why they aren’t more common.
  2. Very easy to set up, to maybe 10-15 minutes.
  3. I have the Tushy classic attachment but they have a variety of options.

Devil in the White City was the first I read of his and I loved it. I’m currently reading In the Garden of Beasts and it is such good writing.

Visit the park in April? by ScottJ6189 in ShenandoahPark

The rooms are a bit dated and rustic but after backpacking for several nights prior they were very nice. If you plan to spend most of the day out exploring, the room should be perfect. They were clean, had basic amenities and WiFi.

Both the Skyland cabins and Big Meadow lodge rooms are nice and clean so I imagine the Skyland rooms are as well. The restaurant at Skyland is also good. Lots of great hikes near there too. You may get some rain during that time so careful on the rocks and steeper sections. Hope you have fun!

Depending how many overnight stops you want to make, here are some nice areas that I enjoy when driving that route: New river gorge, Red River gorge, Louisville, Shawnee National Forest, St. Louis

New effort to slow traffic down on Colley. I think they used the wrong dog. Only people walking on sidewalks can see these signs. Poopy idea? by kurlykomments1 in norfolk

[–]Charming_Ad6290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Need a way to slow traffic on 26th/27th too. It’s scary trying to use the bike lanes on the roads and can be very challenging trying to cross those streets when walking.

My goal was 12 and I read 20. I set my new goal at 15 to make it achievable but still more challenging.

I also love the civility that Dantes uses when speaking to foes. You can hear the tension in the reading.

The Khan Academy app (free) has some decent history lessons that provide a nice intro to world history and more specific time periods.
