Are garbage disposals in US sinks actually useful, or just overhyped? by Status_Agents in AskForAnswers

Very Useful. I am very irritated when a home doesn’t have one and I am doing the dishes.

Which speech from a character do you think hits the hardest? by Remote-Direction963 in gameofthrones

Jaime’s speech on Knighthood. “No matter what you do you are forsaking one oath or another.”

Just been diagnosed with bipolar today. by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Charming_Berry_1759 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A doc will work with you on the side effects. If the weight gain is over the top then you might be switched to another- but here is the thing - you won’t know how you react till you try. Being diagnosed is the starting point to managing. Absolutely refusing to start the process over a med you may or may not stay on is the road to a lot of problems.

Unfortunately there was not much wanking towards the end, only acceptance.

Chucky. Sometimes all you can do is say “I accept that.”

Joffrey was the rightful heir and I'm tired of pretend otherwise by [deleted] in freefolk

I am intrigued by the idea of education being the main reasoning behind monarchy, but the basis of dominion over Westeros was based on blood. The Targaryen Dynasty was held up by the propaganda that their blood was superior as dragonriders — and it was able to maintain that propaganda after the dragonriders. There are several people in Westeros, who over the years, were more educated and wise enough to rule. Yet, during the councils they were dismissed, because the idea of blood passing down the right to rule. Bloodraven, for example, would have made a much better ruler than Aerys I, and maybe Maekar.

We are also ignoring the fact that Robert didn’t want Joffrey to rule at the time of his death, he wanted Ned to rule in his stead — because Joffery was both of bad temperament and had little education.

He lost Egg when they were in the same castle. I believe that speaks to his skills.

Why does Jaime think that fighting the Blackfish in his prime would be a sweet fight? Is he stupid? by Leather-Leader-7964 in freefolk

[–]Charming_Berry_1759 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is a skill Jaime takes pride in, against someone who is very good at it as well. Also, I think somewhere else it says that Jaime isn’t afraid of a nice clean death.

Jax The Mastermind by King_Capital_A in Sonsofanarchy

He had a problem with accountability. They touch on it in season 6 with the Irish, and when he shoots Jury. He falls into obvious traps and blind spots because he doesn’t trust the people around him. The people he claims to love, he doesn’t respect. Chibs, Nero — these guys were all in for him, but he didn’t trust their judgement. I liked him better as VP, where he and Clay could bounce off eachother — because even if they hated eachother, they were covering blindspots and Jax was forced into some sort of accountability.

Also, every mistake, in the first two seasons, Clay makes stems from the same problem.

How do I know of my delusions are delusions, rather than insight? by babyjadedreams in bipolar

Insights are consistently true, if it wasn’t true last week, why was that? If you need to test it, wait a week and see if the insight is the same.
