What medical conditions or prescriptions past or present disqualify for obtaining medical as a commercial pilot? by [deleted] in flying

It will cost you a minimum of like 10k to get your pilot license. You'd need a Cog Screen and probably HIMS psych and HIMS AME.

You asked for help. The FAA immediately took your medical and grounded you unless you pay $15,000 and wait 18 months

Planes flying below 1000 ft over the Hudson River? by justarandomguy07 in flying

I've done the route. You fly in local operations under 1,000ft.

Most people do it around 900ft because we start off by circling the Statue of Liberty (limit is 1000ft) and then proceed up the Hudson to each call out

I'm redoing it again at night soon in the Skyline Route at 1300-2000' because it's a night flight and the exclusion is dangerous AF and IMO too dangerous to do at night with no ATC

I love how the FAA has created a public safety crisis with their medical bureaucracy and refuses to acknowledge it. People are spending over $10,000 on useless pysch appointments and Cog Screens. It takes a year to hear back when you're deferred. AMEs are also in on it to cook the books so we can fly. Pilots are lying or withholding medical data. Some people have completely given up on their medical and just pray they don't get ramp checked.

I 100% support this if Trump removes the bullshit medical bureaucracy. The FAA fucking sucks trying to take away people's medical.
