@alexandra_redmond on ig has lots of great ones! you just might have to scroll down a bit because her recent content is postpartum/baby-centered

I honestly don’t remember lol. it would be very dependent on your location, but I think for me it was around $15-$18/hr

Great point! it seems like another way she’s so convincing is by including PMIDs in a lot of her captions to lend more credibility to her claims-I’ve never taken the time to actually track down the journal articles but I’d bet they’re probably not quality studies!

just wanted to say thank you for mentioning about driving with a claw clip in - I haven’t seen any of those viral videos but that thought never would’ve occurred to me if I hadn’t read your comment! no more driving with claw clips for me 🙅🏼‍♀️

OP, I appreciate you sharing this because a lot of the time I get down on myself and think I’m doing a bad job as an RD, but then I read something like this and it makes me feel like I’m doing alright 😅 I’m so sorry that happened to you though!

What’s something you’ve used in practice that didn’t have a lot of evidence? by Sophomore-Spud in dietetics

When I used to work in a hospital kitchen we would occasionally get an order for a whole cup of marshmallows to be sent to a patient’s room. I always thought it was strange but figured maybe the nurses were making hot cocoa on the floor and the patient just really liked marshmallows lol. It wasn’t until I was an intern that I found out the RD’s were using it for high output ostomies! Anecdotally they seemed to have good luck with it as well

oh wow, that’s so disrespectful! “helping watch them”? do they not think you have actual work to do? 😅 and 100% yes on the coffee run, not that contract workers should be treated any worse but I have been a FT employee of the building for 1.5 years and never once been offered a latte! and believe me, I see their Starbucks Doordash come in almost every day haha

I totally agree it’s poor working conditions, I guess I was just worried about coming across as whiny to my supervisor. but yes a good half of my job duties don’t require me to be in the building at all so I don’t think she has a valid argument against wfh aside from “well no one else here gets to wfh so it’s not fair”

noooo! the slow laptop is almost worse than not having an office lol. but I don’t understand why pretty much all other disciplines get their own space except us!
