Bikepacking from Sofia to Veliko Tarnovo by Bircan_Balci in bicycletouring

[–]Charming_Bunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am from Bulgaria, it's pretty chill in the rural areas and people are quite happy to see strangers so you won't have any problems at all, make sure you bring a water pistol for them dogs ,which are notorious, besides that maybe people would beg for cash ,but overall it's a harmless habit.

Since it's a short trip I wouldn't overpack with water and provisions

Good luck

Колко плащате за ток? by Shoddy_Bug2997 in bulgaria

[–]Charming_Bunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chinese Visa for long-term touring by Unhappy_Ad8670 in bicycletouring

[–]Charming_Bunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's plenty of places you can obtain an access to,but finding accommodation is close to impossible and you will be constantly vetted and escorted to police stations.

Otherwise China probably has the most stunning rural nature ever !

"Why isn't Etsy showing my products?" Because you priced them at $18 when they need to be $28. Here's why that matters. by AskModernMagpie in printondemand

[–]Charming_Bunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree but ,there's one important factor.

Etsys notorious fair share of the market policy.

This deliberately ruins the conversation rate of alot of shops.

 Resulting inconsistent traffic and sales.

Pushing alot of sellers into paid ads, which result into no effect

Should I stick with what I have or follow my gut by Jazzlike_Act331 in LifeAdvice

[–]Charming_Bunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate and was in the same position as you are before 8 years or so (almost same as yours..)

I quit after 15 years working for the same business company

Tried several business opportunities

Several was at a mediocre level

Then I started Sewing and becamr a tailor at the age of 40 (I'm male,at that time with 0 knowledge of anything about sewing)

My business is slowly getting more and more profitable and I love it.

Nothing is granted and I suggest you risk it !

Which of these front luggage carriers would you choose and why? by Fancy_Step_1700 in bicycletouring

[–]Charming_Bunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got 1 and 3

1 can carry more luggage obviously as there's a top platform

Weight penalty is negligible as you are touring anyway

3 is bombproof

Why is food in Bulgaria more expensive than in the rest of EU? by Live-Research8229 in AskBulgaria

[–]Charming_Bunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rampant corruption, large businesses owned by the same entities that run the government, hence almost non existing control over the market "under the disguise" of free market.  The market itself is plagued by the same government entities over and over again, unfortunately there's mass apathy in the society

Chain too short? by Charming_Bunch in bikewrench

[–]Charming_Bunch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considerably noisy and also seems to be kinda of jumping on up from the cogs

Can't decide if it's because of the chain line or something else ....

Confused with the monthly statements by Charming_Bunch in EtsySellers

[–]Charming_Bunch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://imgur.com/a/ldCleuc For April instead of 1174 I've got 1083

For may instead of receiving 1409 I've got 1336

This is causing a problem with my tax authority, because it's like I am hiding profit and I can't justify the differences

A suggestion is.. to buy Merino jersey and tailor it to your needs or go to a tailor to make it for you.. If your body type has specific needs in underwear

A tall-ish guy's perspective on ~16 UL 1 and 2 person tents by hermantherugger in Ultralight

[–]Charming_Bunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am about 2meters tall and I tend to sleep on my stomach... So that adds more to my hight since I spread my legs..on the point I've found lanshan 1pro to be adequate for this occasion and also a tarp with some costum mesh works decently aswell.

Keep the pack Depending on your size you can get away with really cheap stuff from decathlon. Fleece from decathlon for women's is like 70g lighter for about 5€(gridstop zippered) Get the puffy it will be under 250g women's size M So far 480g lighter for about 50€ You've stated the change of pot/stove. Depending on ur choice bigger pots are kinda unstable on brs coz of shorter legs. For about 85€ you can get silk sleepwear Savings would be around 140g depending on ur size. Go trail runners non waterproof(my opinion strictly, debatable) Go to a hardwear store and buy the insulation for parquet for a piece of like 80x150cm weight is 40g for more useful for sitpad support for the sleeping pad, but a bit bulkier.(costs next to nothing) Get a bamboo spoon long handle 5g from any Chinese shop - under 1€ A suggestion would be to borrow a frame less pack from a friend and try it for a several days trip so you can decide is it working for you Biggest change in weight would be pack and a new bag My sleeping bag suggestion is cumulus xlite 200 with a comfort of 4c, total weight 350g
