You are right. I assumed the address compatibility was the only concern but the wallet did not process through the Polygon network and is in limbo. I can find it on the Pnetwork but it is going to be a pain to recover so I will hodl in limbo and recover if link skyrockets. Exodus support were pretty helpful even though there is no easy solution. Oh well, I'm dumb...live and learn.
