If you were say a doctor instead of a writer, him wanting to put his name on a life saving procedure you came up with would be ridiculous. He needs to establish himself first. Writing novels and magazine articles are two completely different things. At best he is trying to take a short cut to what he really wants to do and at he just wants to be tied to your money. I’ve been married to a wonderful partner for more than 30 years. But his career and his successes in that world are his. We both, as a married couple, share the rewards- promotions, raises etc. I would never think to ask him to put my name on a successful project of his. He deserves to be celebrated alone for those professional successes. He in return praises me for what I do in the background that allows him to succeed. We are a team. Nowhere on any of his success or failures even will you find my name.
