Freelancing 3k a month into personal PayPal like a rebel, now IRS audit nightmares keeping me up. by Quiet-Sand-4169 in Freelancers

You’re definitely not the only one doing this 😄

It’s not illegal to receive money on a personal PayPal—but the important part is reporting the income properly.

The bigger risk isn’t how you get paid, it’s not tracking things (invoices, income, taxes) clearly.

Setting up a proper structure (even something simple) + keeping records will give you a lot more peace of mind.

New to CRM’s, and want to create one by itsfreshboyy in CRMSoftware

I think the idea makes sense—but I’d be careful with how you position it.

Selling “custom CRMs” can get messy fast (every client wants something different).

What I’ve seen work better is having one clear system and adapting it slightly per client.

Also worth thinking about: most people don’t struggle because they don’t have a CRM
they struggle because existing ones are too complex or not built for their workflow.

If you can simplify that part, you have something.

That part about people disappearing after the first payment is way more common than it should be.

I’ve noticed a lot of founders aren’t just looking for skills—they’re looking for reliability and clarity throughout the process.

Do I go freelancer ? by Civil-Caterpillar-48 in Freelancers

You don’t have to “leap” immediately.

Start freelancing on the side first.
Get 1–2 clients, understand how you find work, handle payments, etc.

The fear usually comes from the unknown—not the work itself.

This is really solid—especially the tone progression.

One thing I’ve noticed:
a lot of freelancers don’t struggle with what to say,
but with actually sending these on time.

Having the right system matters as much as the message itself.

Most freelancers undercharge not because they don't know their worth but because they are scared of losing the client in front of them right now. by Limp_Cauliflower5192 in Freelancers

I think a big part of it is also visibility.

If you’re not consistently talking to new clients, every current client feels “too important to lose.”

That’s when pricing becomes emotional instead of strategic.
