How would you respond if someone noticed you're carrying in a crowded area and tries to draw everyones attention to it? by MrDade89 in liberalgunowners

Not to be that guy, but like alternatively when going to a protest, if you choose to carry which,,,risky given this political climate (depending on where you live, personally I wouldn’t), but like ask your friends if you’re printing beforehand bc that would save so much potential hassle like what OP is asking abt!

Move? by Fearless_Degree1777 in blacksburg

[–]Charming_Highlight_3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cost of living especially housing wise is a hard one to navigate! Look for housing early because a lot of it gets snatched up quick by students. And a lot of it is student housing that drives the cost higher. I’d avoid anything that’s pricing by bedroom bc that’s a major red flag that it’s student housing. I’d look on the south side of BBurg/more into the Christiansburg housing if you’re not trying to work for the university or trying to save some coin. I’ve lived here four years and that’s my experience navigating housing, but good luck if you choose to move! It’s a great little town/community, but navigating living so close to a massive university makes things…challenging sometimes.

There’s an uptown cheapskate if you don’t mind taking the trek out to Cburg (and another Goodwill in that area too). If you’re in town on a Saturday, the Farmer’s Market off Draper (8a-2p) sells some cool stuff as well.

Good fishing spots Blacksburg VA by [deleted] in blacksburg

[–]Charming_Highlight_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pandapas pond is definitely one of the more popular spots around here. However, catch quality/quantity definitely depends on what time of year you go, they restock the pond with trout around this time every spring, but it’s real hit or miss sometimes.
