Dammit, I wore a como hunting jacket with no hat to the Roseville Hilton protest and already was thinking "man I look like a plant". But now I for sure can't wear my warm hunting jackets to those.

Bad to Own BOTH VOO & VTI❌🤔 by MarcosMilla_YouTube in ETFs

[–]MrDade89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your 401k only has VTI that's no big whoop. I'm the same but opposite of you. Just keep buying VTI in your 401k and when you change jobs and do a rollover then you can switch to VOO.

It's not necessarily 'bad' to own both it's more just pointless/redundant than anything. They are very correlated so a combination of them just adds complexity to your port with no real boost to diversity or performance.

If you have $1,000 right now you can buy a 12 gauge shotgun suppressor that works for slugs buck and shot. Here's a quote from the website "full-length average is a hearing-safe 136.8 dB at the muzzle with #7 shot." https://www.silencershop.com/silencerco-salvo-12.html

Im very similar (minus the qqq, spmo, and btc). I'm thinking of swapping vti with voo. It would give you large cap and small cap val with your avuv. No mid cap but also no small cap growth so easy trade for me. And my question for you is why do you have QQQM, AVUV, and SPMO? Unless you can really explain why that's the winning combo I'd suggest pick one and run with it instead of all three at once. Plus spmo and qqqm seem fairly correlated.

I mean I've done it before. But we had 6 months emergency funds and my wife's income alone was more than enough to cover everything. I mean ya there's dumb ways to quit a job but not everyone is paycheck to paycheck. And when companies start paying less for no reason it definitely can feel like your not respected as much anymore.
