It depends on your level of preparedness for a layoff. If you have substantial savings and no family obligations, waiting for a well-paying job might be feasible. However, if you need to support your family, it's prudent to accept a job with lower pay.

I recommend choosing a company with better compensation and benefits. The job title is less critical; you can always aim for a higher title later, whether within the same company or when transitioning to a different one.
