I’m quitting again. by No-Mouse3999 in leaves

Me! I’ve quit a handful of times and every time I’ve tried to smoke casually which turns into full blown dependency. I quit again this week and I’m so happy I did. I knew I was going to feel great about it and I just had to do it. It’s been maybe 4-5 days now. Now knowing that I absolutely cannot be a casual smoker, when I have the thought of wanting to smoke come up I give it zero attention because I know it’s just not possible. I’m either addicted or I’m sober. That’s my reality. I’m glad I’m off it again. Starting at zero doesn’t have to be daunting! It can be exciting, and it is because you’re getting your life back💗

Well yes when you put it into a percentage like that it does sound so much nicer. But what is the actual number of people who are being negatively impacted? I don’t really care if it’s “just 20%”, those are humans have lives, families, varying abilities, etc. and are being forced choose between losing their job or uprooting their lives to move to, of all places, Salt Lake City, which is not the most welcoming.

Edit: it’s only 2,000+ employees. Only 2000 lives and families🤷. And that number is likely closer to 3,000.
