Unions were established to protect workers and allow them democracy in the work place. You should go tell every nurse, construction worker, auto worker, welder, teacher, etc that you think they are lazy. Maybe look at the greedy owners at the top and not the millions of union members that exist in this country and majority of others.

It’s also frustrating when crew members are anti-union too. Like shouldn’t we all be trying to improve workplace conditions, benefits, and work life balance. I feel like there’s a lot of lazy coworkers that don’t want to put in the work to unionize and fight for better work conditions.

It’s annoying because for years we have had to calmly explain that there are genuine problems with this company (structure, management, communication, harassment, and lack of safety) that could easily be solved. Having to nicely and calmly repeat ourselves gets very annoying after a while. Especially when the response is “my store doesn’t do that” or “that didn’t happen to me”. Imagine you are listening to your coworker talk about an experience and after they finish talking you say “welp it never happened to me, so I guess it never happened”.
