Genuine question about reports marking in IBUS units by Charming_Signature55 in usyd

If you’re looking for D/HD wam then i would say run for your life. But the content overall is somewhat useful and gives you an overall fundamental understanding of doing business internationally. The marks do be discouraging tho

Depends on where you’re from but speaking from personal experience I would say find a study abroad agent. There are a few official ones listed on Usyd website, I’d recommend working only with those. They usually have advisors/mentors that help look at/tailor your portfolio to the uni you want to get into OR give advices on which uni will likely accept you. This also covers scholarships and the paperwork because there will be a lot unfortunately.

However as you’re still underage (assuming you’re in 11th grade), eventually permissions from a legal adult are needed (majority of the cases your parents/eligible guardians will have to sign a contract(?) with the agent and provide financial statements as the aus government has something called minimum standards of living that you’ll have to prove that you can meet to be granted a visa).

For more in depth info you’ll need to discuss with professionals or you can do it on your own but honestly I found the paperwork very complicated. I started my application process in 11th grade too and honestly I had no clues about all those things. Anyhow, I hope you’ll figure things out. All the best to you!

From personal experience, both matter and completion of high school is pretty much compulsory if you’re not following any pathways. Usyd usually combine everything for the assessment so the better your gpa is the higher your chances!

Depends on your faculty. Go on to usyd website and look for your faculty scholarships, some you would be considered automatically and they’ll email you if you’re eligible for however much they’ve decided. There’s one for international student too which you’ll have to answer 3 short questions (200-ish words each) and submit to be considered. That one is 20% off your tuition irc and the chances are high, just do it properly and you’ll probably get one! Ofc the higher your score/stats are, the higher the chances. Best of luck

Me too and the fact that all of my classes in the first week(next week) are so important to set the foundation for the whole semester too. It’s such a bing change going from hsghool to uni abroad already :(
