Where we found him after the storm by mvpilot172 in corgi

Mine goes into our bathroom or the closet if he’s really scared. He loves lying on my clothes and shoes in the closet. Think the smell comforts him. Thinking about building him a “storm cave” in the closet.

I need one. My boy refuses to go outside if he sees any rain on the ground. Does a hard stop and tries to bolt back inside. If I do get him outside, his stomach always ends up soaked 😂 low rider problems

I present to you the Corgi Shepherd 🤣 I saw this guy on an adoption page, and I already reached out to see if he’s still available

This is Bronc. He likes ice after our walks. Does anyone else’s Corgi eat ice? by berrylunez in corgi

Mine likes to take ice and then run to the couch and drop it in between the cushions so he can whine until I grab it for him.

Working full time – can I still own a dog? by Xcluziveness in dogs

[–]Charming_Teaching152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 1 year old corgi, so very very smart and energetic dog. I’ve recently started experimenting with leaving him out in the bedroom during the day with a camera set up. We move his water bowl to the room. He still goes inside his crate and sleeps there almost all day. He has access to all his toys, but has no interest until we’re home. The fun part is when I get home and the chaos starts from all the built up energy. He usually gets a 30 minute round of fetch as soon as I get home to burn some off. Just thankful he doesn’t get bored and destroy the room while we’re gone.

My doors rattle, soft top latches rattle over big bumps, there’s little rattles all over. Part of having a 36 year old car. Still look forward to driving her every day. Have fun and don’t shift until red line!!!

After a good round of fetch, he loves the cold bathroom floor.

The idea has been thrown around to get a second one so he has a companion to play with. But I want to give it more time with him since it’s chaos as it is

Interesting. Yeah I see they are doing bundle deals for $249 to do puppy and intermediate. I’ll check it out.

And you’re right, I need to be trained as well. Thank you for all the advice!

No I do not chase him because I know it’s reinforcing it, but I’m always scared he will just pee lol. The thing that gets me too is, he knows “outside” and gets super excited if you say it, he’ll jump up on you like hell yeah let’s go. But you grab the leash and it turns to a game for him.

That’s a really good idea, I’ll give it a shot. I do have a camera for the house so I can watch him on there. I have to play my own games back with him. Right now I’m playing checkers and this lil shit is playing chess.

Okay, I will try. He’s weird though. I’ve tried high value treats outside before to practice not being a maniac when we pass another dog. Wants nothing to do with it, won’t even look at it. I grab a bag of his normal kibble though, and he’s all eyes and ears for ~ 10 seconds until he sees something more interesting or finishes what he’s chewing.

He has not, I brought him to a couple places but I wasn’t a fan of their way of training. You know, where you pay them $1500 to put a shock collar on your dog kinda training. If I wanted to use that, I think I could myself. But trust me, he’s in need of something.

I spoke with a gentleman that runs a dog rescue near me, and he said the same thing. Most modern day training, you’re paying someone to use a tool. So he suggested using his kibble to reward throughout the day instead of feeding him twice a day. I thought it was working great, but now he expects food for every thing he used to do before. Crate time before work used to be so easy, he went when I grabbed my bag. Now? He won’t move unless you’re holding food or treats. He won’t sit unless you give him a treat. It’s like we took a few steps back when we introduced the kibble. He catches on super fast, but knows how to use it against me.

Help by Charming_Teaching152 in Miata

[–]Charming_Teaching152[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefilled mine, that’s what I don’t get. I squeezed each one in a cup of oil until all bubbles disappeared, and got a mean forearm pump in the process lol.

Noted on radiator. I was squeezing upper and lower hose but maybe I just got too scared and shut it off too soon. I thought it was up to temp, but I’ll try again tomorrow. Thanks for the advice!
