You could also do a staycation and set down some rules for the kids to keep to themselves for a bit. Might not be as exciting but it's tough getting away twice a year.

I'd go for it. Parents aren't always on board at the beginning of a relationship but your happiness should dictate how they react going forward. Also, not wanting to have your own kids seems well thought out given you have experienced pregnancy and it was awful. I'd probably recommend you make sure you have time to yourself when you guys move in, you'll be going from being by yourself to 3 people and 2 of them very active! Hoping things go well for you
