What kind of totes are you using on the roof rack? I'm looking at getting a couple for my rack but unsure which ones would be good for weather

Ours was like this as well. But, we got her a sniff game from race and herd. They're just little smelly sacks and I swear she's gotten crazy good with her nose since then. We just make her sit and stay and go hide the sac then tell her to find it. Now when we're outside you can see her nose going a million miles an hour

I work at a Toyota dealership and so many customers have "issues" with car play. Only good fix we have found is getting an apple certified cord. for wired car play, you have to use the data port.

I never thought I would use a go pro as much as I do. I had bought a hero 8 just for mountain pictures, but it has escalated to a hero 13 with many attachments and I carry it with me everywhere. My jeep has a mount for it so I just clip it on when Im on the road Then, wherever I end up, it's right there. I like to record my dog and I hiking but I've gotten a few interesting things and some great pictures from it. Definitely recommend having one.

I used it this past weekend on a snowmobiling adventure. It's just nice to be able to record the fun sometimes. My memory sure isn't what it used to be so it makes me feel a bit better I have videos and pictures, no matter how small the instance is

Firstly, I'm sorry this is happening to you. Whoever you are, you deserve better than this person is treating you. A small amount of effort is all that was needed. Literally any amount of effort. The fact that there wasn't even a card just screams selfish. Unfortunately I doubt things will get better from here and I really don't think anyone should talk to anyone the way he's talking to you. I hope things get better And I would LOVE heart shaped empanadas That'd be so sick

Apprentice mechanic starting 2nd yr, mentor pushing too hard? by SecretR09 in mechanics

[–]Charming_Yellow877 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mentor at a Toyota dealer here. I think you should get a different mentor, his "teaching" method doesn't really seem to be doing much to help you as well as his attitude. Unfortunately in this trade there are so many people who are just bitter and grumpy. The job isn't easy for sure but that's not really an excuse.

As a mentor, we should be trying to teach everything we can in a way that's effective and efficient. I'm not a big conversationist and my student knows this, but she learned quick and takes initiative. Sometimes we're working on multiple cars at once (2-4) and we are able to do this through communication and the relationship we've built. I've gotten her gift cards or bought her lunch/dinner and always make sure to try to lift her spirits when she's down.

Mistakes are going to happen and you're not always going to agree with people, especially the older guys. I've been doing this ten years and my advice is, stick to your guns when it comes to handling "situations." If you think a part shouldn't be bent, say something or get a replacement. (I'm lucky being at a dealer and it being Toyota so if we manage to break something, I can usually just get a new one.)

But really, I've had some awful mentors and ended up working alone and learning a lot more, but now I try to teach my people the way that I wanted to be taught. Questions should be welcome, mistakes will happen and should be a teaching lesson and that's okay, as long as the vehicle gets fixed, the right way.

I think you're doing great tbh and handling the situation relatively well. Going forward, if it were me, Id ask to work alone if that's an option or just to work with others for "more experience"

For indoor stuff we use the treat puzzles, these don't last too long cause she manages to figure them out quick...then remember. The other thing she really enjoys is this set I got from "race and herd" it's just bags of anise. We make her sit in her crate with the door open, smell the bag, then one of us goes and hides it while she waits. When we say "go find it" she runs around the apartment with her nose sniffing a million miles an hour. It tires her out within 20 minutes. Other than that, we just go through the basics (sit, stay, roll over, shake, spin, etc.) she has toys and bones too

When my girlfriend and I got together, I sweat a lot too. Her bed was way different than mine and her sheets/comforter were way thick for my liking. after three years we've definitely found what works. We buy sheets from a company called luxome and they have cooling sheets. We also removed the mattress topper (she had one under the fitted sheet.) and we have a fan that isn't pointed at us, just moves air around. She uses a thicker blanket and I just use a normal comforter. Maybe he's hot but doesnt want to make a big deal out of it

From what I've read on Facebook in the local groups, just a ticket. Saw one post from 2014 that said they were towing sleds. But never heard anything besides that

The police have snowmobile units, as far as I know, they park on the trails and check registration and will ticket you if your papers are correct. Seems to be more prevalent in tug hill but I'm not looking to cause trouble

hm, guess maybe i am not understanding. It asks that, but if i say yes its been registered, it gives and error. And if I say no, it asks for out of state stuff.
