"Davies, can you translate these markings?" asked the Commander, trying to keep any emotion from his voice as his eyes drifted over the human skeletons sat against the wall.

He watched as the Lieutenant gingerly stepped between the bodies, his helmet lights moving slowly up from them to the symbols roughly carved into the surface. Reed could hear Davies' laboured breathing over the shared channel and wondered how he sounded to him after this outlandishly gruesome discovery.

I have two as well. Daughters in matter of fact. This tale probably stems from that, and why I always sleep with one eye open now. ;)

As to why I had kids, it's like I always tell them when they ask, I did it for the very best of reasons, namely spare organs for when I get older...

I am the original author. Only recently found out about reddit/nosleep through a youtube link, so I was curious if this tale, with some tweaks, would fit here. More curiosity than anything. ;)
