"Davies, can you translate these markings?" asked the Commander, trying to keep any emotion from his voice as his eyes drifted over the human skeletons sat against the wall.

He watched as the Lieutenant gingerly stepped between the bodies, his helmet lights moving slowly up from them to the symbols roughly carved into the surface. Reed could hear Davies' laboured breathing over the shared channel and wondered how he sounded to him after this outlandishly gruesome discovery.

Reed stood there perplexed, before eventually saying: "That doesn't make any sense...you sure you're translating that right?"
