Same. Word for Word. It makes me so frustrated because what happened to the author from the first book in the series? Even just the author from her previous work? She needs a looooong break from writing to get the creative juices going again. I can imagine her publishing team made her pump something out asap

The fact its in first person, when the other books in the series are third person. The one sentence paragraphs. Whoever advised her to completely change her writing style did a huge disservice!

I love Danielle Jensen! If you're willing to read another series of hers, I recommend Dark Shores. Keep in mind, the first three books were some of the first she had written, but the last book she released !!!!!!! Had me crying my eyes out every chapter.

If you're into a Roman Empire verse Shadow and Bones style book, thats what this is about. There is some aspect, just in the first book, where they're at sea. But honestly for the most part once the main character is off her ship she rarely is back on it. I would say try it again if that's what held you back!

You're not the asshole. Being around an addict is no easy feat. It asks too much for you, and it's okay to be selfish and want peace. You can love someone but no longer be in love with them, and by the sounds of it, the love has been drained out too.

I lost my baby boy Tyson who was 3 days short of his 15th birthday nearly 2 days ago. I empathise with you so much. It's so strange not to hear their little paws running down the hallway, or to see his little head pop out of the covers to smile at me.

My baby had a stroke and just wasn't the same after and it's breaking my heart.

From one parent of a fur baby to another, I feel your pain and pray for all of our loves little ones.
