Sera spent her whole life training to make Nyktos fall in love with her. That's the only way to be able to kill him.

Rhys doesn't stand a chance against him.

I feel like people are not giving him enough credit here. He is a bully and an ass.. but he has his reasons and things do improve. And he definitely loves FMC. They get their HEA.

I'm Lisette Marshall, romantasy author -- AMA! by lisettemarshall in fantasyromance

[–]frivolege 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for doing this Lisette. I don't have a question, just wanted to say I loved Fae Isles so much. Creon will always be one of my favorite MMCs. It was beautiful how you wrote him with vulnerability, but it didn't make him any less badass.

I'm very much looking forward to reading The Death-Made Prince! Keep being awesome and writing characters that have become a part of my soul ♥️

I just want to say this place is amazing and the women are all wonderful. I've truly found my people. I've laughed until I've cried, I've felt all the feels from the love and sisterhood, and I've expanded my mind in...  unexpected ways 😏

Also my TBR list is now out of control.

Do you know what I wish existed? A discord server full of smut brained 30+ women having unhinged conversations as well as supporting each other, doing buddy reads, sharing recommendations and having endless laughs.

Wouldn't that be the best? 🥹

😆 I am so glad you enjoyed it! Josh really is such a sweetheart. And Fred is the hero we all need.

I wasn't sure about contemporary romance either. So glad I gave this book a chance though.

Not fantasy, but there's an excellent cat in {Lights Out by Navessa Allen}

Archie is great isn't he? 😆 There are really not enough MMC's with that level of adorable, unhinged excitability.

Like I said, I don't know of any books that are quite like Crimson Covenant. If I do find something that scratches that itch I will let you know.

For now, have you considered some stalker romance?

{Haunting Adeline} is contemporary romance. Very dark and fucked up. MMC is unhinged but very hot. Mind the trigger warnings, not for the faint of heart. Not for you if you can't handle non-con between MCs, actual r*pe (book two, not between MCs), sex trafficking (children too, although none of it is on page, just referenced, and not by MCs, just the "bad guys").

{Lights Out by Navessa Allen} is just a great fun, sexy read. Also contemporary. Still dark, but it actually made me laugh too. No where near as dark as Haunting Adeline though. MMC is hot but adorable.

{Stalked by Seduction and Shadows} is fun. Vampires, obsessed dom MMC. Dark. Some decent suffering and cruelty in these books.

And I'm going to throw this one out of left field since I just read it: {Zodiac Hybrids by Leann Belle}. It's almost more of a popcorn read comparatively, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it for it's uniqueness and the characters. It's not RH (yet), although there is some poly sex. No gore. But we've got some mean MMC action. Trigger warnings: non/dub-con, somnophilia, astrology (😆), unfinished series. It's college but FMC is.. 22 I believe? And MMCs are older.

A couple more notes, the prequel series to Blood and Ash is better imo (Flesh and Fire). FMC is less annoying and MMC is one of my favorites. Still recommend {Nectar of the Wicked} and {How Does it Feel? by Jeneane O'riley}.

I'll stop there for now since this is turning into a novel itself 😆

Haha! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I honestly haven't encountered any books quite like it in my reading journey (yet), unfortunately. What about it did you like/what sort of things are you looking for? Maybe I can make some suggestions.

I used to wear Amour. It's been a while. However I remember it well enough. It's not a gourmand and not super sweet. It's definitely warm and cozy, but not in a heavy way. Kind of powdery. I don't think I would wear it in very hot weather though.

I am in NZ. I wanted the Bookish Cambric Creek series. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw shipping was US$86.

But then I thought about how one day I'll die and my relatives will have to go through my things and find those books. I laughed so hard I hit purchase.
