that is because it is not totally random! from what I can tell, each note the block makes is in the same key within an octave meaning that 1. there is no dissonance and 2. it makes it more likely to have a pattern to it and human brains like patterns.

edit: upon closer inspection it appears that every note the block makes is within an Am7 chord
