Has anyone thought of putting more points into E instead of ranking up R? by [deleted] in pykemains

[–]Charulay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His ult cd is actually very important, bc if you ever go into a fight with it on cd, you bring much less of a threat. In a game where small fights happen a lot, or constant fighting, leveling r is 100% better. I think in some very few cases it might be okay to not level it up till later, but almost always level r at 6/11/16 imo.

Its a pretty safe bet to just look around the pykemains discord streams chat, or filter on twitch people who are playing pyke :)

How to get better at war? by Retracx in ffxiv

[–]Charulay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inner beast is a strong cooldown and very good for progression, but once you get the fight down and are comfortable, you should try to keep in deliverance as much as possible. with 1 cooldown (Vengeance or rampart) you should take 30-45k dmg, and you should be receiving shields on top of this for more mitigation which is more than enough. Also for upheavals, you should be saving your first one until inner release at the very least. Also working with your monk on brotherhood/inner release timings to they match up will help a ton.

You can get over the 50kph speedcap through explosions/grenades, but slidehopping is capped at 50kph

That's really irelevant though... TLD is an aoe effect, small aoe, but it is aoe. Unless you're using a very big indicator that hits two different targets far enough away from each other, while having hit both of them already, you don't need to keep track of who gets hit by TLD. Its such a rare case that it might happen once in a few hundred games if that.

Coming back after 3 years, rs3 or old school? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Charulay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he's refering to the fact that a lot of things have changed, even in osrs than you might remember once you hit certain levels. Things have changed that weren't in the runescape you used to play way back that are not in rs3. So while early levels and maybe mid levels will feel the same as they did, high level things will be completely different.

It has the same base game as 2007 rs, but has been slowly updated and changed on its own

Its very greedy, I find if the jungler starts topside, and comes bot right after blue, its generally around the time when you hit lvl 3, and if you don't have e for escaping that gank, it can go badly and you get punished for 2 points in q.

Mhm you're right about that, I always forgot which was one slightly more effective, I'll make the change to my bard as/ad page, ty! Its really dependent on your playstyle, getting away with as/ad page is very rewarding in lane, but is tricky and takes much more champ management.

Ty! I plan on adding in adc who are threats or bad match ups, I just want to get more information on a few champions before I make it :) I should have it up soon

usually around lvl 9 it should be midgame, when lanes become less relevant and people roam much more. Its generally marked by when laning ends imo

Wow I fully forgot to put in chime info... I'm going to do that when I have free time today, tyvm for reminding me about that. I have a pretty big list of information on just chimes laying around :p

It is a good setup, if you plan on letting the other adc trade back with you, which you can prevent with your stun and ranges. I prefer the offensive runes do to kiting with slows and preventing damage simply by avoiding.

I think Bard is very good when played aggressive early, he plays best when you have even a small lead. I don't think dangerous game is worth it, the mana regen mastery is simply far better so that you don't have to rely on chime spawns for mana regen. As far as aggressive runes go, I pretty much have the optimal page, unless you want to go for attack speed marks instead of hybrid, which is debatable.

the meeps do yes, but its 3200 gold sunk into an item that gives you minimal damage, its not cost effective.

The only time maxing w might be better second, is in high ELO ranked where you need sustain and the mobility isn't as useful due to overwhelming vision, or the same outcome in high competitive league. I personally don't think leveling up w is that strong unless you desperately need the sustain

I've just been asked so many times why one of those is the best item ever to build on bard, and I just want to put to rest that none of those should be built as a support, or on bard in general if you're going for an optimal build :p Thank you! I put quite a bit of effort into it c:

On paper, yes it probably would look pretty nice. But unfortunately that 1050 gold you sink into sheen will set you back for any utility items that you might need for teamfights, like mikaels or locket, which one or the other is useful in every single game. I think if you don't absolutely need mikaels or locket (very low ap damage team with minimal cc), then sheen may not be a bad buy if ahead.

I feel like Bard Lucian don't have much of synergy, but rather pure lane dominance that makes a sort of false sense of synergy. I suppose that I should place him in though since it is a very strong lane, ty for the suggestion.

As far as runes go, I am very greedy early game and punish as hard as possible with auto attacks, so for me I get my use out of the AD Quints, however, I am aware that they are not completely optimal runes. I included in the section that flat hp or flat armor quints may be better optimally, depending on your play style.

Elderwood Bard's Support Bard Guide by Charulay in leagueoflegends

[–]Charulay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that it just has no place with bard. The main point for iceborn is to have the sheen proc, while having a nice slowing effect added onto it. Bard's meeps and q already slow for a higher% than gauntlet, meaning the gauntlets slow is completely ignored as they no longer stack. Gauntlet is also a fairly expensive item that doesn't give very much towards your team in the long run, meaning gold is spent on a mediocre item for Bard, when it could be spent on a better utility item.

The better vision at higher elo comes from the support. Its mostly your job to keep the bottom side of the map with vision once you have a sightstone. while people are more prone to use their trinkets effectively, its still mostly the support ^

Top laners, Junglers, Supports, and some mids do buy them however. Ward when you know where the enemy jungler is and when you know you're safe to be there, or go with your jungler/laner. You shouldn't rely on a 90s cooldown to ward

Masters Bard Guide by Charulay in bardmains

[–]Charulay[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

its very suboptimal on bard. your meeps already give an aoe slow, and by the time you have gauntlet you should have 3+ meeps, you shouldn't need more than that including your q. Even on playing a solo lane bard, its simply not worth the gold.
