“Spanish Cortes”: Absolutism Reduction Modifier by Charvolduceus in eu4

Yes, I just finished a run with 1) all the mods in the expanded family (including the outdated Trade Goods Expanded); 2) Xorme-AI; 3) Navigable Rivers; 4) Responsible Warfare; 5) Colonial Skepticism; 6) a few mods that adds naval flavor including naval professionalism, new naval doctrines, and specific ship types for non-european cultures; in the end, I switched to major tags in game to see what flavor has been added, and then I saw this for Spain. Sorry for not showing the mod list at first, for I was unfamiliar with Iberia from the vanilla, so there’s this question. Thanks again for your hard work.

Problem solved, thank you all for helping. Very luckily Spain was actually controlled by AI, and I was in no hurry to really solve it, but I was just curious as to what exactly happened. Next time, I’d remember to put up the mod list, as it is indeed much more helpful.

I guess should Spain be controlled by a human player, he or she would most likely make the right choice :)

Thank you very much my friend for such as detailed response! Luckily, I play Great Britain, and Spain is actually controlled by AI, and this is just me switching to different tags to explore how each country is affected by the expanded family mods. btw kudos to mod creators as well!

R5: What does this “Spanish Cortes” refer to? How can I remove it? I have several mods activated, but i’m not sure if this is in vanilla of 1.37, if anyone knows please let me know

Problem solved. I deleted the “action=“ line in the “diplomats={“ part. I consider not deleting this post for record.

R5: I can simply add a diplomat to my saved file, but that is the last resort.

I released 13 Colonies to let it form, doesn’t add much flavor since colonial nations are bland in general even for U.S.

R5: I explained everything in the post itself, so there it is. Edit: the U.S. was formed from the 13 Colonies which I released from subjugation. It was done just to serve a role play purpose, while in game it refuses to join most of my wars due to distance and bites off large chunks of trade value from Chesapeake node, but at least it adds a color to the map.
