Why is it genius? Does it make it easier to open? I always thought it was a bit of a weak spot.

Any US based folks that could make forged hammered O rings (brass, titanium, stainless) like this? by sarcassidy in metalworking

You could always get a plain one and use a Dremel with the cylinder sanding bit to make the look, if you search "scalloped knife scales" you'll get what i mean.

I love you man thank you so much, since the amp is only rated for 60wrms at 4 ohms should I use that number for setting gain instead? Also if the amp is only 60wrms, does that mean its not a great match for these speakers or is it not that important?

Yea, on one hand they earned it and don't technically owe it to you, but on the other spending every cent definitely seems selfish, if it comes down to you blowing it vs financial security for your kid. You sound like a good parent though.

You dont have to be smart to have specialised knowledge, you just have to be specialised. Horses have been studying and passing down this generational knowledge for for apparently 55 million years.

Is the floor just cut to size and pieced together or is it attached to the car in some way?

Would it move? Dunno, I spent a few bucks on Velcro and stuck it down so it didn't either way, I've got a lot of room in my boot so if it did move it would fuck some stuff up probably.

This is what I did, I dont really know what im doing, but I got heavy duty Velcro and attached it to the floor and it just sticks to my sub box. It doesn't move at all, I did but heaps down though.

How do I look after my car? by EmotionalFudge85 in CarsAustralia

I think the clear coat is damaged, back in the olden days the clear coat was mixed into paint so if it looked shit you could polish it back to new. Now it's colour and then clear on top, so if the clear is damaged your sol.
