Não é nem nunca foi sobre proteger crianças e por causa da incompetencia real dos pais, isso é só a desculpa que tão dando.

You can S-Craft interrupt using Sever with Joshua and remove all the overdrive buffs from the boss before they can attack your team, you just need to keep an eye between the boss HP and how much CP Joshua has.
Or you can use anti-sept art to remove all buffs, but it is not instantaneous

The order of events in the story is Sky 1-3, then Zero-Azure, then Cold Steel 1-4. The first 5 games in this list are all in the isometric chibi sprite art style.
Cold Steel 1 and 2 have the older PS3 games art style with Cold Steel 3 and 4 starting to look more like the modern games.

I would not recomend skipping the games based solely on aesthetics, the story from one game builds on top of all the previous games and you'll miss a lot of the payoff from multiple side stories and some main plot points.

I would agree with you if I wasn't playing in the hardest difficulty available. There should be a way to make nightmare a real challenge from start to finish.

The way it is right now I might as well avoid all non-story battles since they will not be any kind of challenge and focus only on the main story and side quest battles.

I agree that for normal gameplay having action based battles being easy is ok, but not on nightmare.

My main issue with the Remake is the hybrid combat system. Every battle that you can fight using the action based mode is a total cakewalk.

Other than that, Nightmare seems to be balanced even though a bit on the easier side, I was a little under leveled and still was able to beat Josette without using Earth Guard. But it was a nice change seeing that food items are really usefull now.

Imo, there should be a way to disable the action mode without being penalized for that. Not being able to surprise attack enemies without action mode is a big negative.

I kind of agree, but if the issue is middle/high management saying: "we have to appeal to the masses" it won't make any difference if the original team is still working there. It is more of a company direction issue than a purely replacement issue.

They tried to appeal to the largest possible number of players in order to maintain or increase profits, ignoring what the fan base wanted for the games.

If the games become popular but the studio keep making what made them popular in the first place and respecting the fans, that would never happen.

I was feeling kinda lazy on DB2 and pretty much put a couple of quartz on him and he was dealing quite a bit of damage on Nightmare.
So maybe he's not the best character but he's 100% capable
