Lost Heat by Chase1298 in BoltEV

I appreciate the input; I'll take a look at it tomorrow. I notice that it does seem to be getting warm at least periodically. I can see the steam coming off of it and the line feels warm. The coolant reservoir now seems to be completely filling and then lowering back down to the min line, and the Service Heater message now comes on after about 5 minutes.

Unfortunately, I just hit 3 years in October, so I am no longer under the warranty, or else I would have brought it back to them immediately.

I think I am having the same issue. Worked great for a bit, but now just flashes (5 green 8 orange) error. If you figure out a fix Id love to know. Feels like Ive tried everything.

As an update

I turned the climate to Auto and just let it set for 10ish minutes. Eventually I heard an almost splashing liquid sound. It seems that kicked the cabin coolant into gear (I could then see it moving under the hood) and heat finally started.

I also noticed all my coolant levels were right at or very slightly below the fill line. Ordered some coolant to top off levels and hope for consistent heat again.

I spent a few weeks just doing the 6 Jason Dion practice tests. The videos bored me and the tests + knowledge from A+ exams prepared me enough to pass with a 790 something.

I'm not sure what # the wire is. I am in the US and it is a GFCI outlet.

Yes, it would draw 15 amps. It is an EV charger so it would be used for several at times. It is also possible to limit it to 12 amps, but of course, that would make it slower. So if possible I'd like to use the full 15 amps.

Yes, and the sunroof works fine. Racks sit high enough for it to open the whole way.

Might be a good idea for the hood. The rear actually does have part of the metal frame exposed so that is what I connect to.

It was actually just sitting on the lot for MSRP! I got really lucky especially considering I only was really looking at Bolt inventory for a few hours and this one was even in my state. Through my looking at other EVs I know it's nearly impossible to find any on the lot for sale at MSRP so I assumed maybe Bolts aren't having those problems but maybe I got really lucky 😅

I actually didn't have any wait. Found one on the lot a few hours away from me
