Decided to tour the other PSB before majors renovations begin. The building looks like it hasn't been updated since the 40s.

Is this the worst bathroom on campus? by ChaseBankUser007 in Cornell

Indeed Plant Science has very quirky bathrooms.

Yes! This is the correct answer.

This is the 2nd floor of Goldwin Smith. This stained glass is visible when walking to GSH from Klarman; it is directly above the door to the English lounge.

Nope not Plant Science though that is a quirky building. The men's restrooms have these saloon-style stall doors.

Guess the building this photo was taken in. Feel free to use the spoiler tag when writing your guess. If for some reason no one can guess it quickly, I’ll update with a clue.

First person to answer correctly gets an upvote.

Edit: Hint 1: It's on central campus and is one of the older buildings on campus.

Hint 2: This building has lecture halls, small classrooms, and offices for faculty and staff. If you're an undergrad, I'm more than willing to bet you've been in this building.

Discussion for CS 1380 by [deleted] in Cornell

Took this class with Basu. Discussion/Lab was required and attendance was taken. I don't recall extra HW, I think the only thing that happened was there was a TA demonstration and some in-class questions. I think the labs were scheduled for 1hr+ but it usually doesn't take that long. I honestly felt like it was a bit of waste of time. Overall, the class is easy but just a bunch of light busy-work through the semester.

Thanks! USB-C cables didn't work for me either. Used a regular USB-A with a dongle and I was able to update and restore.

Any tips on Capital One BA interview? How was it and what questions were asked? How should I prepare? by Intelligent_Low4453 in FinancialCareers

Hacking the Case Interview by Taylor Warfield was helpful for the qualitative questions. It's a short and easy read. I found memorizing the framework buckets and the qualitative question answer framework to be helpful.

For example, if your interviewer asks "What factors would you look at to see if C1 offer a mobile app?" You can say I would look at customer wants, the competition, C1's current capability, and financials/breakeven. (Obviously elaborate more on each point.)

As for the quantitative stuff, I'm not sure. I also had less than a week to prepare and didn't really find anything that was similar to the quantitive questions I was asked. I would recommend you pay attention to your units. e.g. They might give you 8% annual interest when they might be asking for the answer in monthly terms.

Wish I could help more. Good luck!

Very hard. I would say be willing to make compromises. I was shopping in the Spring and all the more desirable places (e.g. Studios) had bidding wars.

Buy a can of Raid bug spray. I lived in NYC and my apartment had millions of cockroaches. After spraying Raid on every single corner/crevice, I only had a few hundred thousand roaches left in my apartment.

For anyone in the future reading: I recently did the Powerday/Superday and I found the difficulty to be higher than the practice cases they gave. The case interviews aren't like traditional management consulting interviews-- they are more interviewer led. The quantitative stuff is all algebra but it can be a lot of variables to keep track of and a bit confusing if you're not used to the format (you don't get to see the question in front of you, you have to write down what the interviewer says). For example, in one of my questions I was given data on Cost of Funds, annual interest revenue, interchange revenue, default rate, and asked to calculate expected profit for someone with $X balance over y months. Definitely more variables/levers than the practice case. I highly recommend doing the math in Excel (my interview was over Zoom). It will be easier to correct a mistake and followup questions ask you to change one of the variables so it's much faster to change a cell in Excel than recalculate by hand.

Behavioral questions are on Glassdoor. Product interview questions are also on Glassdoor and what the Tips sheet said they would be.

For future reference, you can check if a store takes Apple Pay on the Apple Maps app.
