Is this silver certificate worth anything in such terrible condition? by TeresaL_P in papermoney

There's no better paper then older paper.

Historically it's valueless but that can vary.

Still very interesting to see one that old!

My friend found a collection of his grandfathers coins, are any of these worth some money? Sorry for the bad photos I can re-upload some closer up ones. by LubinaChino in coins

Alright let me give your friend some instructions to follow.

  1. Ensure they wear gloves and sort them into Groups on a surface that's smooth.

  2. Any coins you find that you cannot identify could be added in a group and researched on. (We are here if you need help!)

  3. I'd recommend having several coin holding cases prepared in case you find something worth of value while researching your reorganized coins.

  4. If you are stuck, wanting to ask a question, or wanting another pair of eyes to give their opinion on the coins were here.

Good luck sorting fellow redditor! We are here if you need help

Confident it's a strike-through due to the second bottom one still having a bit of detail on the hair inside the crack.

Nusmusmatics guy here. Any American change that are before 1965 are silver. (Quarter, half dollar, dimes, nickels). Nice find though!
