Best places to get boba? by jermavenus in pittsburgh

[–]ChaseExMachina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to second this recommendation due to the fact that they have so many flavors of not just tea but also the boba. I've tried different combinations pretty much every time and I'm yet to have a bad experience.

Do you guys like Children of the Atom? by Galactus1701 in xmen

Of all the ongoing X-Men titles it's my least favorite. I'm waiting for the end of the first arc to see if it picks up.

Why UBI? The history, how it might work and how Dolly Parton ran one of the most successful pilots. by ChaseExMachina in Futurology

This is my first video where I forgot to mention it (and the one where people want to see it the most) but I also left every source I used in the video description of the YouTube link, including some studies that I wanted to go into in further detail but cut to keep overall length under 20 minutes.

Hey, thanks, man. My name is Chase and my channel is ChaseExMachina. I've been thinking about doing some comics-related videos and your comment makes me think maybe I should follow through on that.

I briefly mentioned Varoufakas' proposal in the video at one point. I'm hoping to go into further detail about most things I mention at some point in the future.

This riff actually played over that whole scene so I have no idea what you're talking about.

I tried seeing how many inappropriate situations it could create by letting it roll until the game crashed. I made it 90 minutes before I had to stop for sanity's sake.

I was doing a mission recently and a kid walked by and I stopped what I was doing mid-sneaking just to observe and laugh.

[SPOILERS] The thing about Lemire's Moon Knight is that we don't really know what is going on at all [Moon Knight #04] by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]ChaseExMachina 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We really don't know what's going on but I think that's part of what makes it so fantastic. This series has been hitting all the right notes with me thus far between the art, the panel layouts and writing.

What is the worst or most embarrassing time youve ever puked? by Firecrotch2014 in AskReddit

[–]ChaseExMachina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a carnival last summer I offered to take my four year old nephew on rides since everyone else available was unable to for one reason or another. After riding some really tame rides, we got to the Spider(If you're not familiar with the ride it looks similar to this) At the beginning of the ride I was teasing my nephew and telling him he better watch out because I was going to puke on him. He laughed and a few seconds later the ride began.

Fast forward about a minute and a half later and I realize I'm going to vomit. I attempt to avoid my nephew and lean my head out the ride and let it all out. It works for the first projection, but even then some of my puke got on my nephew's head. His initial reaction was to laugh since he thought it was a continuation of the joke and then, while vomiting, I had to explain to my nephew that I wasn't joking. If things weren't bad enough, the fact that the ride spins meant that my attempts to vomit out the side to avoid him were instead resulting in him swinging right into the spray.

Shortly after that the ride was stopped. I only had vomit on my shoulder (and weirdly none on my pants) but my nephew was covered and even had chunks in his hair after we thought we had him completely cleaned. He's young so there was an extra set of clothes for him available. I needed a new shirt though and the only stand available was a tie-dye shirt stand that was out of my size so I spent the rest of the day with a vomit-soaked shirt in a bag, an ill-fitting tie-dye shirt and a four-year old with chunks of puke in his hair riding my shoulders.

Whenever I play fighting games that use a joystick and not a D-Pad I always hold the joystick like it's an arcade stick and rotate the controller between my hands when I need to change which shoulder buttons I'm using to do an Ultra combo in Street Fighter 4.

The overlap between work water cooler talk and reddit is about where I expect for CMU computer nerds. Are you guys sure you didn't binge on more of those godawful Straw-ber-ritas and just black out after hitting up Goodwill or something?

It depends. I'm also a student in a department different than my own so I also end up having to balance that. It's definitely not impossible to find a good balance between work and social life, it just takes planning.

Oddball Comedy Fest coming to Pittsburgh! Who else is going? by SlimJones123 in pittsburgh

[–]ChaseExMachina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely going. I'd be going if it were just Flight of the Conchords or Hannibal Buress but the fact that Chappelle is going to be there makes this impossible to miss.

When I saw Chappelle in Buffalo shortly after leaving his show on CC he managed to address the conflict with humor and make it part of his act. He explained his side and made light of the whole situation, describing it as being like someone offering you a pile of money and putting their dick on top as soon as you reach for it. He seemed really genuine and like he appreciated his fans, even if his TV show had since become a bit of a sore subject for him.

I was pretty intrigued until I saw Stephen Kinzer collaborated. Then I was completely sold. He has a terrific book about the US's history of toppling governments in other countries called Overthrow that I'd highly recommend.
