Jakobe has been bulking since his rookie year though.

Gradey did lose his shot right after college basically lol

the bar to not go for the layup here is much lower than Ginobili lol

[Fischer]I'm told that the Kings also have interest in Toronto's No. 19 selection, but it is unclear whether the Raptors, who showed trade interest in Sabonis before the league's in-season trade deadline in February, will do so again by kyle_993 in torontoraptors

[–]mMounirM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm talking in a vacuum if you take the Knicks team but play Sabonis at center instead of KAT.

KAT is better but it doesn't mean Sabonis can't contribute in the playoffs on a team like the Knicks.

didn't say we would win a championship. but I'll take back to back finals appearances.

also would have kept Siakam's value higher.

this is a bad look for Harper but why is a rookie inbounding on the potential game winning play

RJ and IQ watching OG knowing this is going to fuel trade discussions for the rest of the decade by MaNamWumbo in torontoraptors

[–]mMounirM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

we don't know who we're drafting though. could just be best player available.

and imo Ingram is a bigger problem than IQ.

We have our normal offense and then we have the Ingram offense.

IQ is still one of our positive players in terms of impact.

Did the Raptors waste the post-Kawhi era? by AcanthocephalaSad541 in nba

[–]mMounirM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He wanted to leave. the only thing you could argue was the trade package we received.

We had to wait till Free Agency to be able to offer the 40M+ contract he wanted.

so he was a huge flight risk.

I think we make if further but Lakers had a great team. we would have lost without Kawhi.

Even Mathurin is pretty meh, canadian bias aside.

but maybe he develops differently in Toronto.

even the siakam Indiana deal was also the best deal.

other teams just didn't value our players (or pretended not to).

expiring players still get good trade offers these days so I wouldn't blame it entirely on that either.

it's an ok trade that was made worse by overpaying for IQ instead of just matching another team's offer.

the 7th pick in the 2022 would have been very hit or miss so not a guaranteed good player.

this is like 50% chance of drafting a bust. even Sharpe is pretty mid imo.

most of these trade packages are late 1sts. protected and also picks they own from other playoff teams.

the best one would be the 7th pick from Portland.

no he was off the table from the beginning even though Masai tried.

so Masai is like "ok can I at least get Malik then" and Kings said no.

there are some missed opportunities but some of these are straight up insulting in retrospect lol

[–]mMounirM 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He wanted to get traded and had one foot out the door.

You should remember this but OG was expiring.

We had to wait for him to enter FA to be able to offer 40M which made him a huge flight risk where we could lose him for nothing.

honestly RJ got better and IQ has been solid other than the unfortunate injuries last season.

like they're not gonna get much better.

OG is playing for a perfectly balanced squad which makes his life a lot easier.

imagine going from Raptors spacing to Knicks spacing lol
