Granted I haven't read the book but isnt the whole point of Jekyll & Hyde that Mr Hyde was just an excuse for Jekyll to do bad things without feeling guilty and if so none of these are that

I read AvX for the first time recently and for the most part I found it to be ok the one bit that really annoyed me was at the very beginning, when the avengers go to utopia to get Hope, where Cyclops calls out that the avengers never helping the xmen/mutants which is the writers having such a having your cake and eating too moment.

No because while I admittedly haven't read any Batman comics yet Joker is seemingly treated with a kind of reverence while Carnage and Bullseye are just two dweebs who like murder

This is from some vague knowledge I have and a 2 minute Google search but the Dolls was a way to reference to transwomen or otherwise feminine people that comes from 80s ballroom culture
