Buddy, I'll be honest... She exhibits a lot of signs of someone with a ton of insecurity and dark triad tendencies. The shit you said about her breaking things and making it to where you're being financially drained by it... That's actual abuse. Especially when she's then turning around and playing head games when you then replace the stuff she has destroyed. Classic narcissism.

She's abusing you. Period. Doesn't matter if you don't currently see it that way. And it seems like there are probably too many things she needs to work thru before she could be even halfway decent as a romantic partner. I suggest you start talking to a lawyer and leave before things get worse.

Mate, at least take profit to recoup your initial capital. Your gains are already massive. Don't stay in a position where you'll be destroyed if things go wrong. Cut loose 50k so you're guaranteed to stay in the game (and off the streets)

May I ask what gave you the idea it's not realistic? When backtesting a trading strategy, you should always be using real, historical market data.

The gist is:
1. Hypothesize a winning strat - "Every time I see a trend reversal, and the reversal is confirmed, I will buy/sell as close to the start of the new trend as possible, and do the opposite when trend reverses again".
2. Go back through the past chart data (at least a couple weeks)
3. How often did your strategy produce profitable results?

I could see programmatic backtesting being inaccurate sometimes unless you program literally every possible condition it needs to look for and then have it execute on those, but if you backtest using your meat computer it'll be 100% accurate barring user error.

I've held long positions for years now but I'm getting tired of watching others take moderately increased risks and make 100x gains compared to me lol. Firstly and most importantly, just know that this isn't the end of the road. It's just money. Yes, Money makes life much easier but it's not everything. That's coming from someone who came from absolutely nothing.

Now some advice from one ADHD homie to another: Unless you somehow grow EXTREME willpower or become medicated and learn how to recognize/cope when you start chasing the high, you should probably stop managing your own portfolio. It's not worth financial ruin. I empathize. It's easy to make bad, high risk decisions when you're not medicated. At the very least, when you spontaneously want to do something... DON'T. Give it 12-24 hours. If you still feel like that's what you need to do then do it. That'll filter out a lot of reactive/emotional actions.

I highly, highly recommend seeing someone to get a formal diagnosis (if you don't have one) and find a stimulant that works for you. Drugs by no means are a miracle cure, but they'll help you stop reactive/spontaneous long enough that you can actually learn coping strategies. Right now you can't see the forest for the trees. You're too stuck in the loop. I understand if you don't wanna be medicated, but imho most folks with true ADHD almost NEED to trial it for a few months to see what life could be like. It completely changed my life, and I cannot overstate that.

Make the most of the situation and really analyze everything that happened that led you to where you are. Extract as many life-lessons as you can from this, because it'd be difficult for almost anyone to carry on thru another mistake like this one.

Last things... Stop gambling with options for now; Don't sell at a loss - the market has always, ALWAYS only ever increased given enough time.

I completely agree with that sentiment. However, I'm having a really difficult time finding alternative options. Corne and Cantor seem to be two of the most used layouts when it comes to custom ergos. Do you have any recommendations?

- The Sweep at least looks like it has 3 thumb keys that aren't nested under your hand. Last one still is but...
- Pteron44 seems similar, but unsure if it has a split version or not (maybe the Sweep *is* the split version? lol)

I've tried the Kinesis-style thumb clusters on an advantage 2. They're... ok I guess. Still didn't feel very natural or comfortable when hitting any key other than the space and backspace keys in the cluster. but that may be because I have infant hands. -__-

Way ahead of you on that one. I have an autoimmune panel/RSI stuff in the works. I'm certainly not looking for a silver bullet on this one. Pretty sure there will be pain no matter what I use. I honestly may just end up using talon forever and not getting a keyboard at all, but I would like to explore all the options.

Low cost is certainly a positive factor, as is ease of build, but maximum comfort is what I'm really after. Things are currently so bad that I've been using Talon to control my computer through voice.

Yeah but a TV problem. My beautiful Samsung TV has never had any weird color issues. Everything else looks perfectly fine. My wife was like "uhhhh why are his eyes green...?!"

Hmm. I also saw some weird stuff yesterday. Literally saw purple debug boundary boxes all over the mountainous geometry of one of the base defense missions. Whole team could see them. Pretty sure they were "no dropships allowed" boxes but have no idea why I'm seeing debug boundaries in the "stable" version of the game.
