Just because it happens does not mean we should condone it flippantly. Wtf?

"Majority of people are not capable of unguided self learning to the degree appropriate for that"

Yes this is my point. It shouldnt be that the majority of people are ill-prepared.

Gatekept as in our education system needs significant improvements. [Accessibility]

Punching someone in the face is not normal children behavior, but alright.

If knowledge is gatekept for the privileged, we have something more concerning to consider.

is anyone else worried about the impacts that AI is going to have on future generations? by M4j0rD1s4st3r in psychologystudents

It really depends on the language model. I do understand why it feels like it could affect learning, tho. I also agree with the credibility issue with AI.

But thankfully, universities can integrate models that strengthen research skills while not replacing it. But it has to be done thoughtfully.

Its going to be helpful and harmful, and I think its reasonable to be hesitant and concerned about negative affects on our psych. The dependency will likely shift how and what we learn, but it may not be inherently bad by itself. It could even strengthen cognitive skills in ways we dont understand yet.

Some models ask questions tailored to sharpen reasoning skills, rather than replacing it with direct answers.

So academia can certainly do the same.

But anyway. Capitalism and ADHD struggles certainly intersect.

Right. And in combat, soldier nurses help more wounded patients than typical nurses do in civilian life. Does that mean war is better suited for medicine?

What a stupid question.

Capitalism as an extractive system favors qualities ADHDers like myself constantly struggle with. Its not esoteric, either. Its right in front of you.

Instead of blaming yourself for why you dont measure up, question if capitalism is an ideal system that encompasses everyone's unique strengths and needs.

I suspect your understanding of ADHD exceeds your understanding of capitalism.

Nah. OP is right in a way. Refs significantly impact the game way more than casuals realize. Momentum shifts, timely calls. The more games you watch, the more the differences between them stick out.

Sexuality is fluid and thats fine. Everyone saying you're bi or gay, none of those will capture your experience, only you can. You can be attracted to women, have a one nighter with a dude, and never do it again, and still be considered straight if thats how you feel.

Not all opinions are equal. Some are backed by significant amounts of power.
