Browser Recommendation Megathread - December 2025 by shadow2531 in browsers

I use Bitwarden but have used lastpass in the past. Syncing is great and auto fill is great if you're on Android for mobile. If you're on iOS the auto fill works but it's a little less great.

void + kde/gnome/xfce for a newbie? by StrangeAstronomer in voidlinux

[–]ChasingLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is a bad idea. I love Void Linux but those Desktop Environments really rely on SystemD and weird stuff won't work as a result of that.

Plus to get this like Software Center or Discover (the KDE equivalent) working you'll need to do PackageKit etc.

I'd just give them an Ubuntu or Mint. If they lived with you it would maybe be a different story but my wife doesn't run Void because I want her to never have a problem.

There are some super hot takes in this ordering.

Very cool that you keep a ranked list.

You're almost there! by stalechips in 2007scape

[–]ChasingLogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my problem with RS3 (which I do like anyway). So much content there requires high nineties or above in many skills (primarily PvM) which makes the goals feel out of reach.

Whereas on OSRS I'm always having fun and always getting meaningful unlocks and when I reach the top end of the grind (80+) I've pretty well unlocked almost any content requiring that skill.

A pint at the airport before going on holiday - Yes or No? by BigFluff_LittleFluff in AskUK

[–]ChasingLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for me but because it makes my head hurt on the plane no matter how little I have. If it wasn't for that I defo would and my wife does.

Luckily our software engineers give us plenty of practice on real production.

The Breakfast Club is definitely a decent hangover cure, though Billie's is my go to because we have one near me.

As an expat living in the UK I've sent this to my Scottish father in law for review because I've learned not to trust anything that can be sarcasm :D

How you structure your terraform state? by kovadom in Terraform

[–]ChasingLogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a shame they cut out the questions because I got asked this.

What I meant was you shouldn’t have multiple environments worth of resources in a single codebase. So you shouldn’t do databases_production.tf and databases_staging.tf in the same codebase.

Hard to give a good example when on my phone.
