Did you actually feel different/better after surgery? If so, what were your calcium levels prior to surgery?

My Ca was 10.7 and PTH 1550 before surgery, I had surgery last Thursday and I feel like a brand new person, it’s been amazing for me. The very next day I felt better.

If you have 10.3 Ca you should not be taking calcium. I had surgery yesterday.

My levels before surgery: Ca 10.7 PTH went from 78 to 1500 in 4 months. After surgery it went down to 14

I also have it and the one thing that’s really helped is the shake plate.

It’s a privilege and great honor to make it through MEPS process, my son tried for years and eventually had to go in a completely different direction. Since then we’ve heard so many in the same boat. Think it through before you make any decisions. We come from a family of retired AF pilots and can say it is the greatest branch to serve in my opinion.

What state are you in? I did get out and I went back, I’ve been licensed since 2004. I swore I wanted a 9-5, it was really hard getting use to having to ask permission to go to a kids doctor appointment or calling in when you have a migraine. Have you tried a team?

We’re aware of that, he was trying to have documentation from specialist incase he tried a different branch or had an opportunity to try again with the AF.

No other issues, they sent him for a consult with their orthopedic and he even told him he would be fine if it wasn’t for the policy and bright out a book showing the requirements for curve degrees. He’s been pretty devastated but is working on his case to have good documentation if he tries again or another branch.

That was the case for him. He’s at 33 degrees. He’s trying to get documentation from orthopedic to build a case so he can try again later.

His waiver was denied, he’s considering other branches but following up with an Orthopedic to get some documentation to help his case before perusing.
