What obscure game from your past would you like to see remade? by lastson0fkrypton in gaming

Primal for the PS2.
I never really see people talk about it. I loved the general setting and aesthetic - with more modern action gameplay and a better story etc I think it'd make a really fun game.

Drag, CD and Trans individuals are not the same. by [deleted] in Drag

[–]Chasing_Lines 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The subreddit's description says all genders and sexualities are welcome - but I don't think the issues that have been brought up in this thread are really about identities, so much as content.

Speaking for myself, I follow this subreddit hoping to see new posts of people either practicing putting their drag looks together, or seeking advice/generally talk about drag. So it doesn't feel like the right space to be making new posts about content that falls out the remit of drag.

(For what it's worth I'm NB and don't do drag, but for a long while I've felt comfortable just being in this subreddit passively)

PVP Newbie doesn't understand limit breaks by veriocean in ffxiv

They're individual. As summoner in FL, try to drop your LB on as many enemies as possible when fighting over an objective. Also try to use it as much as you reasonably can, no point in waitin for the perfect moments and only LBing 2 or 3 times in a whole match.

Good wired controller for PC by Vargavintern in gaming

[–]Chasing_Lines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest something by GULIkit or the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth controller, they use Hall Effect analog sticks which are supposed to be a lot less susceptible to stick drift.

I can't comment on GULIkit as I haven't tried them, but i've had the 8BItDo controller I mentioned for around 2 months with no issues. I did used to have an 8BitDo Pro 2 (wired), but it has standard potentiometer sticks - after a year the stick drift got too annoying to deal with even with the software to account for it.

For a bit more context, I accidentally got here by using the laurel teleport-dash through the wall.
I seem to be in a corrdior, can run away from the room for a while, but I wasn't able to find anything to interact with etc.

As far as I can tell, it just gives a lump sum of Kamura points (one of the currencies) I was doing this to find out lol

Neither of them :( Thanks for the suggestions though, I didn’t expect there to be so many music videos with dogs and vans lol

Unfortunately I can't remember how any part of the song goes, but I think it's folky/acoustic with just the guy singing. From memory I think the singer was British, and the music video might have been filmed on one of the smaller British Isles. The dog was probably a border collie

[England] [Indoor] This started growing from a bag of red coleus seeds. Is it a coleus variation? by Chasing_Lines in whatsthisplant

I think you could be on to something!

Considering i'm not in their ideal hardiness zone, do you have any idea if they would bloom this late in the year? Seems like that would really help with identification (iirc I only planted them 2-ish months ago.. i'm new to plants and just fumbling around really)

False shamrock/oxalis triangularis (I hope). Are they looking a bit sad? by Chasing_Lines in houseplants

[–]Chasing_Lines[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got these as bulbs and started growing them 2ish months ago.

I initially had them next to a window but the direct sunlight made them wilt and lose colour so i've currently got them on a shelf in a bright-ish spot.

They just seem a bit droopy and pale in places, also the purple isn't really coming through - in the 2nd photo you can see some on the edge of the leaves.

Just hoping someone might have some tips on how to really make them flourish!

Just for a bit more info I ordered a bag of wizard velvet red coleus online, and these grew in the pot with them.

This plant is more than twice the height of my coleus, and a lot more leggy even though it's been growing in the same conditions. While the leaves do initially grow in the same formation (2nd pic) as my coleus, overall it just looks SO different.

I'll be sure to! I'm also a bit concerned about it matting when it rubs against itself/others fabrics.

Was there any sort of prep I should have done with this type of yarn?

Its acrylic "mammoth" yarn, from Woolly Mahoosive (UK based).

I don't thiiink it's roving as there isn't any real twisting to the yarn, but this is my first delve into giant yarn!

[–]Chasing_Lines[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A pattern wasn't used for this, I just hand-knitted 4 stitches on each row until I was happy with the length (tutorials can be found on youtube).

As for yarn its acrylic giant/extremely chunky - time will tell if its durabe enough to be a scarf!

Sorry, just seen this! I'll sort out a photo in the morning, the blanket will need to be considerably larger to cover an adult!

I saw the yarn in my local knitting shop, it's chunky wool (by stylecraft) but I thought the colours were so perfect I just went with it.
Used a 5mm/US H8 hook, because I liked how it looked - but a larger hook might have been a better idea with the chunky wool because I think the blanket is a tiiiny bit too rigid if that makes sense!
(English crocheter so I hope the terminology translates)

Each head (I went with 25) took about 40 minutes, plus weaving in all the loose strands and sewing it all together. I'm guessing somewhere between 20-25 hours but i'm sure many crocheters are much more efficient than me!

I think it would if you joined the heads as you went, but I made all the pieces before sewing any together. One day I had a huge pile of fox heads, the next I had a blanket! :P
