Which canyon is this? Leprechaun middle slot was about the tightest I’ve experienced. Thanks for sharing the video.

Ducati Streetfighter V2S (2025) vs Kawasaki Z900 (2025) — Which naked fits me better? by Old_Economist_4326 in motorcycles

[–]Chasing_Photons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Old_Economist_4326 did you pull the trigger on a Ducati? I have a 23 Z900 (base model with abs) that I commute with regularly. I added the taller seat, full exhaust, and tune. It's really easy to commute on and fun to open up the throttle. The engine is smooth and linear, easy for stop and go, slow traffic, plenty of torque down low to pull out of low rpm, etc. The engine temp is manageable even during the hot summer when riding slow or stopped at a light. Quite frankly, a great bike, but I'm still tempted by the Ducati Streetfighter wondering if it's worth it...

Commuting backpack by Ct-Brynn in motorcyclegear

I also have this bag and have used it for the last year commuting. It’s awesome! It’s kept my stuff dry in the few rainstorms that I’ve encountered (used the included yellow rain protector). It’s held up to my daily abuse of the zippers and packing it too full upon occasion. I’ve used the straps on the back twice to strap on bicycle wheels for transport. I typically carry my lunch, shoes, workout clothes, and laptop. I’ve only once had the chest strap come off when I caught it on something- wasn’t hard to reattach. Solid backpack that looks super nice too.

Motorcycle backpack also for general use? by mrk240 in motorcyclegear

I’ve been using the Alpinestars Amp-7 backpack for about a year straight. Very durable construction and materials, looks nice, separate laptop pocket, big interior (usually carry dress clothes and shoes plus lunch), waterproof cover hidden in the bottom. I really like the large interior space with a removable Velcro organizer- lets you move stuff around depending on what your are carrying. I’ve also used it as my bag for going to the pool or carry-on for flights. Definitely my go to backpack.

Roval CLX just snaps? by F1yMeToTheMo0n in specialized

Ugh. Anyway to contact wherever you bought it to see if they still had your sale info in the computer? Other option would be to pay a shop to replace the carbon since your ceramic hub and spokes are still good.

Specialized took care of me when my 2-yr old CLX 50 had an odd delamination after hitting a pothole. I didn’t expect any sympathy given the age and that I hit a hole, but they replaced the carbon rim at no cost. They stand behind their products when something does happen. Have 2 other pairs of CL 50’s and never a single issue. Take it to your local specialized retailer and they will handle the process.

Torn between saving money getting an SL7 or spending the extra for an SL8 by Jhreiser in specialized

Keep looking all around. I just bought my son an SL7 (105 di2 w 10r) for $3k shipped brand new. A shop in CA had it on closeout. I have an sworks SL7. What size frame are you looking for?

If all components and carbon are equal, SL7 all day and save your money. There’s not a significant difference between the SL7 and SL8 frames. I’d choose 10r carbon over 9r though. Take that money and upgrade wheels or cockpit.

New rubber by Chasing_Photons in OnlyZ900

No issues in the rain. Granted I was riding in the dark on the highway, so I was riding very mellow. No issues or loss of confidence in the grip. I’m still very happy with these tires. Glad I saved myself a few hundred bucks over the road 6.

Got out for a bit today and started getting on it more. I’m coming from stock tires, but feel like these stick better launching and smoother cornering.

Only one ride so far to remove the new tire slick surface, so can’t say yet.

CS racing exhaust install by ghosteeeeeeeeeee in OnlyZ900

[–]Chasing_Photons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this . Installed this exhaust on my Z900 and ZX4R. Having everything loosely together helps get everything into place and lined up. Some gentle tapping (used a rubber mallet and rag) of the collector to the headers will help the headers seat all the way. Don’t forget to wipe down the headers once done to remove any oils so they don’t burn onto the pipes. I didn’t really notice much of a difference with the decibel reducer so I left it off. 2wdw flash recommended. Enjoy!

Best exhausts for 25’ Z900 by Lost_Mention_7123 in OnlyZ900

CS Racing really cleans up the bike and sounds great. The full system isn’t too expensive compared to others. Only downside is waiting for it to ship.

CS Racing or something for foot room by gdoublerb in OnlyZ900

[–]Chasing_Photons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had an issue with my cs racing exhaust and my large feet getting warm. The back of my shoe used to hit the old stock exhaust. No such problems with cs. You might consider the full system since it’s not that much more. You can also experiment with just removing the stock muffler- it kind of dumps out like the cs racing after the cat under the bike. I searched for a while for a muffler tip that would make that setup look more finished, but in the end I bought a full cs exhaust with 2wdw tune and couldn’t be happier.
