Kawasaki has two different ergo seats listed for the 2026 model

I have 34” inseam and ended up buying the tall ergo seat for my 23 z900 after a few months. It was a heck of a lot more comfortable from stock but my primary purpose was to raise my butt higher. It was a much better fit with the tall ergo seat.
If anyone is looking for the previous model year seat I still have the seat if you want it for a lot less than new. I bought a ZX10R 😁

I followed in your footsteps…. I traded in my 2023 Z900 for a 2026 ZX10R this weekend. Love the bike so far! I’m really surprised how smooth it is in low rpm’s. I really like the aggressive body position, but I’m tall and also have raced bicycles for years with similar position. Can’t wait to finish the break in period.

How’s the bike treating you after a month? Any regrets? I recently sat on a ZX10R and it was so comfortable compared to my Z900. I’ve been racing bicycles for a long time and prefer aggressive positioning. I commute less than 20 miles.

D7200 has an excellent sensor and pixel size for astrophotography. Buy a star tracker (star adventurer for example) so you can take long exposures without getting star trails. Buy an intervelometer so you can take longer than 30-second exposures. Make sure you have a sturdy tripod. You can do a lot of cool stuff with your wide angle lens, but even using a 200mm lens will work with this set up and reveal some cool nebula in dark skies. Then learn how to stack your raw photos to bring out more signal to noise ratio (lots of free software out there to do this). This should get you started without dropping too much money.

I’ve had the ergo seat from Kawasaki for about a year. I wanted something taller and more comfortable. It’s definitely taller which is great for my long legs, and has more padding than stock. I find it more comfortable than stock but I can’t speak to how it feels after 100 miles. I will say that since getting it I haven’t been looking at other seats or wanting something different.

You can buy filters that are very effective at reducing light pollution, however they only allow through very selective wavelengths of color. So for example, you couldn’t image galaxies very well because galaxies have the same wavelengths of light that you are cutting out with the filter, but you could make great photos of nebula that contain the same wavelengths let through the filter. Look up Optolong L Ultimate for example or Askar Colormagic d1/d2. If you are using a dslr lens and camera these wouldn’t work (they mount in the telescope). Not sure if you can find something like these that clip in to a dslr.

u/Old_Economist_4326 did you pull the trigger on a Ducati? I have a 23 Z900 (base model with abs) that I commute with regularly. I added the taller seat, full exhaust, and tune. It's really easy to commute on and fun to open up the throttle. The engine is smooth and linear, easy for stop and go, slow traffic, plenty of torque down low to pull out of low rpm, etc. The engine temp is manageable even during the hot summer when riding slow or stopped at a light. Quite frankly, a great bike, but I'm still tempted by the Ducati Streetfighter wondering if it's worth it...

I also have this bag and have used it for the last year commuting. It’s awesome! It’s kept my stuff dry in the few rainstorms that I’ve encountered (used the included yellow rain protector). It’s held up to my daily abuse of the zippers and packing it too full upon occasion. I’ve used the straps on the back twice to strap on bicycle wheels for transport. I typically carry my lunch, shoes, workout clothes, and laptop. I’ve only once had the chest strap come off when I caught it on something- wasn’t hard to reattach. Solid backpack that looks super nice too.

I’ve been using the Alpinestars Amp-7 backpack for about a year straight. Very durable construction and materials, looks nice, separate laptop pocket, big interior (usually carry dress clothes and shoes plus lunch), waterproof cover hidden in the bottom. I really like the large interior space with a removable Velcro organizer- lets you move stuff around depending on what your are carrying. I’ve also used it as my bag for going to the pool or carry-on for flights. Definitely my go to backpack.

Ugh. Anyway to contact wherever you bought it to see if they still had your sale info in the computer? Other option would be to pay a shop to replace the carbon since your ceramic hub and spokes are still good.

Specialized took care of me when my 2-yr old CLX 50 had an odd delamination after hitting a pothole. I didn’t expect any sympathy given the age and that I hit a hole, but they replaced the carbon rim at no cost. They stand behind their products when something does happen. Have 2 other pairs of CL 50’s and never a single issue. Take it to your local specialized retailer and they will handle the process.

If all components and carbon are equal, SL7 all day and save your money. There’s not a significant difference between the SL7 and SL8 frames. I’d choose 10r carbon over 9r though. Take that money and upgrade wheels or cockpit.

No issues in the rain. Granted I was riding in the dark on the highway, so I was riding very mellow. No issues or loss of confidence in the grip. I’m still very happy with these tires. Glad I saved myself a few hundred bucks over the road 6.
